{37} Goodbye Little Vampire

Damon's P.O.V 

I didn't care how long it took, Jack was dead in my eyes. Everything he had done to me, my friends, my family, my girlfriend, he deserved what was coming to him. 

"Come on Damon. You're a nice guy, you wouldn't kill me." Jack tried to reason with me, whilst struggling and failing to pull out the steak from his back. 

"You obviously don't know me then." I smirked, wiggling another steak in my hand.  

I was going to enjoy this so damn much. 

Stefan's P.O.V  

"Jeremy, Matt, we need to go. Bonnie can't hold Klaus down for much longer." I told them, handing Alaric a steak. "You sure you don't want to come with, Ric?" 

"Certain, if Bonnie loses her strength and Klaus gets his back before you return, she'll need backup." Alaric replied. I nodded and headed for the house with Jeremy and Matt, who also had a steak with each of them. 

"Only a ten minute journey if we run." I told them, breaking into a jog which gradually turned into a fast, speeding, run. 

"We need to get to Elena as soon as possible, she must be freaking out." Jeremy shouted between breaths. 

As soon as we got to the house Elena came running outside, she looked rather panicky. 

"Elena? What's happened? Are you okay!" I questioned, running up to her. 

"I'm fine, Damon isn't inside. Have you found Caroline?" She replied. 

"No, I helped Tyler for a bit but I had to get Matt and Jer out of there. Tyler is still looking. Damon must be looking for you." I said, retrieving a crumpled leaf from her perfect, shiny, brunette, hair. 

"Well then we need to find him. Again." She replied, trying to walk past me. 

"We? No, no, no, you're staying right here. Let me look for my brother. Jeremy, Matt, look after her?" I asked, they both nodded. Jeremy put an arm around his older sister and clenched a steak in his other. All three went indoors. 

I now had three choices; Find Damon, find Caroline or save Bonnie and Alaric from Klaus. What to do. I grabbed a steak and headed outside. 

Damon's P.O.V 

I walked a little closer to my defenceless enemy, still smirking. Although Jack was far stronger than me, he was helpless. The steak in his back was making him weaker, another one might help. I spun the steak around in my hand and flung it at him, he failed to catch and it went straight into his shoulder. I couldn't help but laugh. 

"You know Jack, I admire your work. You managed to manipulate your sister." I flung another steak, getting his other shoulder. "You fooled Caroline Forbes into thinking you were as pure as they went. Not to mention the rest of us." I threw another steak, getting his stomach. "You turned me and my brother against each other." I got him in the stomach again. Small zig-zag veins started to spread in his hands, making their way up his arms. He tried to brush them off like dust. He grabbed a steak and pulled it out of his stomach, throwing it in my direction. I lent to the side as it flew past me. "You nearly got Elena at the dance." I threw another, getting him in the leg. The veins started to spread quicker, steak by steak. "You were so close, Jack, so close! You nearly had everything, right at your fingertips. But, I'm just about to take that away from you. You had a good run. All there's left to say now is... Think fast." I threw the steak as fast as I could, getting his straight in the heart. Shock spread across his face as he fell to the floor, dead. My smirk grew even wider as I looked at his lifeless body. I dropped the rest of my steaks and walked away, whistling as if nothing had happened. 

"Damon!" I heard Stefan shout, I span around to see his shocked face at the sight of Jack dead on the floor. 

"Hello, brother." I grinned. "Why are you here? Where's Klaus?"  

"With Bonnie and Ric, we have a plan. I need you to get Jeremy, make sure he has his resurrection ring. He'll need it. Use your GPS on your phone to find me." Stefan said and with that he was gone.
