Stefan's P.O.V

The only thing I disliked about Caroline Forbes was her need to always take charge, oh and that she never shut up. There I was yet again at that little table outside the Mystic Grill with Matt, Tyler, Caroline and Jeremy who had a ten minutes left of his lunch break.

"So let me get this straight, you want to buy Bonnie a cat?" I said, raising my eyebrows. If anyone knew Bonnie, it was me. She was like every single one of her ancestors, I knew them inside out too. They were friendly, protective, selfless and extremely powerful witches.

"Yeah! Wouldn't it be funny? get the little witch a little black cat? She's always wanted one! Why not make it black? We would call it... Ebony! As in Ebony and Ivory, the black and White cats!" Caroline squealed.

"I think the naming is up to Bonnie, Care." Tyler told her, grabbing her arm lightly to calm her down.

"Yeah but we could get an engraved collar all ready and hanging around the cats neck! Oooh, we could buy it a little witch hat!" She continued.

"Caroline, I think we should leave the cat, maybe next year. I mean, if we are surprising her tonight how the hell are we going to smuggle a cat into a high school dance?" Matt criticised.

"Uh, hello! I'm a vampire! I have this little thing called compulsion! I could get a freaking elephant in there with no trouble! Ooooh! Idea!"

"No! No elephant!" Jeremy cut in quickly before Caroline announced her idea.

"No! God! I was going to say, why don't we give the cat to her tomorrow! And just play a few of her favourite songs and give her a cake tonight!" Caroline squealed again.

"Sounds good to me, do you even have a cat to give to her?" I asked, deliberately trying to poke holes in her 'plan of geniusness' as she called it.

"My Mom's friend has a whole litter to sell! There's bound to be a little black kitty-cat in there for her! Perfect!"

Suddenly my phone started buzzing in my pocket, I hesitated but took it out of my pocket. It was Damon.

"Hello?"

"Stefan, no time to explain 'cause I can't be bothered. Let's just say it's been a long day, get your butt over to Elena's now!"

"What? I'm busy."

"What with Caroline? Trust me, I'm doing you a favour!"

"Fine, I'll be there as soon as possible."

I hung up and saw Caroline scowling at me.

"Why are you going to Elena's? I couldn't help but listen in."

"Well if you were listening in then you should have caught that Damon couldn't be bothered to tell me. I'm sorry, I have to go. I'll see you tonight." I announced, getting up from the table.

I arrived at Elena's a few minutes later. She was eager to open the door, Damon was probably getting on her nerves...

"Hi, I'm sorry. I just realised you've been meaning to tell me something for days..." Elena closed the door behind her and stood on the edge of the porch. "So what is it?"

"Well... Elena. Recently I've been feeli..." Just as I was finally about to admit my secret to Elena, Alaric walked outside.

"What are you guys doing out here?" He smiled that good old Ric smile. We followed him back indoors and sat down at the kitchen table.

"Wait, so Klaus and Katherine are working with Jack?!" I said in disbelief. Jack seemed like such a nice guy...

"Yeah, and they want Elena." Damon replied, leaning on his arm.

"We have an idea though." Elena cut in. "Listen carefully, the plan is..."
