Elena's P.O.V

Where could Damon be? There were only a few places a one hundred and seventy three year old vampire could stand to be. I kept looking behind me, thinking he would just magically appear. But he didn't. Damn.

I started to lose my patience, and when me of all people lose my patience you know everyone else's patience was long gone.

"Maybe we should just head back! We're going too far away from the house. Damon is fine, Elena." Caroline comforted me.

"How do you know that? Huh? Oh wait, you don't. I am NOT leaving him. He could be dead for all I know!" I started to overreact. Caroline was most likely right, Damon was probably fine. I sighed and tucked a lock of long, straight, brunette hair behind my petite ear.

"Elena, chill out. We will keep looking, but don't get so worried!" Bonnie interrupted the awkward silence, I was glad she did. I smiled at her and we carried on walking down the little stoney pebbled path.

?????'s P.O.V

I watched the three girls walk alone in the woods. Little did they know that I was ready to get them. I was far ahead of my rival, I still had plenty of time. Maybe I could entertain myself, play a little game with the three of them. I smirked, I had an idea.

I stepped out of the shadows and followed them a little further down the path before I hid again. I just had to wait before someone suggested the thing that I needed.

"The path splits a little further down this way. Maybe we should split up? Elena down the first path, Bonnie down the second, and me searching the woods." Caroline suggested. She looked very determined to find Damon...

"Okay I guess. Only for about ten minutes though. We are really deep into the woods..." Bonnie trailed off. Elena agreed and walked down the first path.

I only had roughly ten minutes. That was fine. I decided to start with Caroline. The woods was the safest bet for hiding. I crept away from my hiding place and vampire sped to catch up with Caroline. It was the best thing to get rid of the vampire first, if I went for Bonnie or even Elena there was a mighty chance her vampire hearing could pick it up. I ripped a tough branch off of a tree, I just needed her to walk a little further... A little bit more... I started to encourage her in my head.

Finally, she had gone the distance I needed. Without wasting any time I vampire sped right up behind her and stakes her in the back, purposely not aiming for her heart.

"Don't even think about screaming right now." I warned as I let her fall to the ground, lifeless.

Now for my next target. Bonnie.

Stefan's P.O.V

I looked around me, making sure that Klaus was not there. I knew he hadn't left. That was a fact.

"Stefan!" I heard someone call my name. I span around quickly, no one was there. I kept walking backwards until my back hit a tree. I walled around it and stayed behind the tree until my name had stopped being called. I tried to figure out the voice... Who was calling me? I looked down to find a body on the floor, it was Damon.

"Oh my God." I whispered, leaning down to reach my brother. I turned him over to find a stake in his stomach, I ripped it out. Now I really needed to think, who was that who was calling me?

"Stefan!" They said again... Tyler! It was Tyler!

"Tyler! I need help!" I yelled, getting up from behind the tree to find him, Matt, Jeremy and Alaric a little way into the distance.

"Guys, he's down here." Tyler shouted, pointing in my direction.

"What's happened?" Matt asked. I stepped away from Damon's body, giving them a better look.

"Oh my... Who did that?" Alaric asked, walking over a little closer to his drinking buddy.

"Klaus, that's who I've been looking for. He wants Elena, which why is Caroline wanted her inside." I explained.

"Oh no..." Alaric trailed off.

"What?!" I asked panicky, he better not say what I think he is going to.

"Elena isn't inside. She's looking for Damon." Jeremy finished.

Dammit.
