No. I didn't forget about this story. This may or may not be confusing but it will be broken up in chunks.

(Guys Locker Room-End of the day)
"I think I'm gonna ask Meredith out" Brian Sanders blatantly stated to his friends while changing back to his blues tee and jeans.
"What?" Mark, Derek, and George all asked in disbelief as an expression of shock overcame their facial expression.
"You know Meredith Grey? The girl who's like super sporty and fun, c'mon George your her best friend you should know her" Brian, being the smart ass, as he was continued speaking.
"Yeah I know who your talking about" George rolled his eyes.
"Brian, she's waay outta your league man" Mark brushed of the twinge of jealousy he felt when Brian uttered those words.
"Plus, what makes you think she's gonna say yes?" Derek challenged his friend of six long years.
"Oh shut up, your all too jealous cause I'm asking a girl out, something none of you guys have ever done" Brian matter-of-factly said.
"I don't think Meredith's even going to the dance..." George made aware the fact that the girl of every one's dreams might not even be there.
"She's not?" Mark, now suddenly interested in the conversation, inquired. Derek noticed how involved Mark was in all the conversations involving Meredith, clearly not remembering the pact they made over a month ago of not liking Meredith. She wasn't worth him and Mark fighting and breaking up their forever lasting friendship... Or was she?

( Dress Shopping )
"Mer, do you like this dress?" Izzie eyed the pastel pink dress with matte pearls embroided within the sides of the collar.
"Uh, Sure" Meredith said back, without even glancing at the dress.
"C'mon we have to buy a dress! It's out last middle school dance"
" I don't think I'm even going"
"My mom said she could take us, you don't have to worry about your mom not being able to drop you off"
"It's not just that, she thinks dances are a waste of time and that I would rather be fit studying for the upcoming State Task"
"Ugh! I sometimes hate your mom"
"Me too"
"Don't tell her I said that"
"I won't if you won't" Meredith smiled.
"How about this dress? It's perfect for you"
Meredith looked over to see a tangetted light pink dress with a layer of thin lacey net which was paired with a slim accentuating black ribbon belt. It was probably knee length and knowing the school policy, she would have to wear her black tights along with it.
"It's perfect Iz, but I don't know if I'm going"
"I know it's perfect. It basically screams Meredith Grey. How about we just buy it and if you don't go, you'll return it"
"Okay" Meredith smiled, wondering how Mark would like her dress. Although Mark could be difficult to deal with sometimes, he was an awesome friend and in a way very cute. Meredith was not specifically crushing on him, but had a small interest on him.
"Help me find a dress" Izzie whined.
"Okay,.." Meredith briefly paused, scanning over some Forever 21 dresses. Her eyes met a cream patted blue dress that was practically made for Izzie.
"Hey Iz! I found you your soul mate" she teased.
"Unless he looks something like Zac Efron, he ain't my soul mate"
"Just come here"
"Coming!" Izzie rushed over to her friend's side. Meredith pointed at the plain simple yet unique blue dress. "Oh my god, I'm falling in love with that dress"
"Okay let's go" Meredith urged taking out the debit card her mom got her for her Christmas preset. She actually didn't receive her gift until a week after Christmas because simply her mom was "too busy for her". After the girls were done shopping, Mrs. Stevens took her daughter and her best friend out to a local pizzeria and then took them out to the nail salon.
--- --- ---
"Honey, who are you taking out to the graduation dance?" Mrs. Shepherd, tried prying into his son's life.
"Mom! I'm not taking anyone!" Derek yelled back, clearly embarrassed. He was surrounded by the snickering of his friends, Mark and Brian, and Burke.
"Fine then, what about you Mark? You thinking about taking anyone out?" Mrs. Shepherd, inquired again only to her son's best friend, who she considered her own.
"I'm thinking about asking a girl out, but I don't think she's gonna say yes."
"That's nice dear" she smiled. "What about you Brian and Burke?"
"Oh I'm asking Meredith Grey out Mrs. Shepherd" Brian proudly answered back, receiving dirty looks from both Mark and Derek, and a questioning from Burke.
"Meredith is a very wonderful girl. If she says yes, then you're a lucky guy. I'm surprised she and Owen aren't here today" Derek's mom said. The boys were playing soccer in the backyard, and they stopped by to take a lemonade break. Occasionally Derek, Mark and Burke would invite Brian and Owen over to play along with them, but most of the time it was just the trio. One day Mrs. Shepherd, accidentally invited Meredith over, knowing her passion for sports. The guys seemed to appreciate her skill in soccer. But after she left, Derek had a yelling marathon, screaming at how much he hated the Grey girl.
"I think I'm gonna ask Addison out, but I think it's gonna ruin our friendship" Burke shyly admitted.
Mrs. Shepherd smiled at how much the guys had matured, all guys except her own.

Happy Holidays. Izzie's and Meredith's dresses are up top^^ just check 'me out. Leave me love (by commenting) and of course vote!
