As soon as my alarm when off, I stopped it, not wanting to wake anyone else.
I yawn, my body not used to waking up so early, but I get out of bed anyways.
I decided to go to school early, not really wanting to be home. I just feel...irritated, my whole family doesn't give two shits about anything but them selfs.
Well, maybe Thomas gives one shit, but I don't see him standing up for me.
I'm not completely sure why him liking the death penalty made me so upset. I guess it just reminded me of dad.
Dad has no empathy, he's cruel and would most likely enjoy watching his enemies die. I wouldn't. Even if they kill someone I care deeply about, I wouldn't want to sink down to their level.
Sure, I might beat them to a pulp, but never kill them... Intentionally.
And if Thomas turns out to act like dad, I'm putting myself up for adoption. Get me the hell out of this family.
I sigh, wanting to take a shower, but I couldn't. It would wake everyone up. Besides, I took one last night.
So I just slip on a black t-shirt, a red flannel, and my jacket. It's officially the first day of December, and I can already see all the overly-exited for Christmas people. (A/N - again, Where I live, December is cold for me :) )
Slipping down the stairs quietly, I grab some bread and drop it into the toaster. While waiting for the bread to heat, I tie on my all black Vans.
I sling my book bag over my shoulder once the now golden brown bread popped up from the small metal toaster.
I quietly open the door and leave. It was still dark out, but not pitch black, you could tell the sun would be rising soon.
I yawn, deciding to stop by a small coffee shop to get a small cup.
The door rings as I open the doors to "young mugs". The place seemed pretty modern, it was new here, only opened a few weeks ago.
"Welcome to young mugs, what would you like today?" A short girl with auburn hair asked.
"Just a small coffee." I say taking out my wallet.
"Cream?" She asks, typing into the cash register. Her gold color nails make small taps against the hard plastic.
"Yes, thank you..." I look to her name tag. "Natalie."
"No problem." She smiles, handing me the small cup. I give her a quick smile before walking out the door.
The heat from the paper cup warms my hands against the cold air, the liquid burning the roof of my mouth, but I don't mind.
The sun was just now beginning to peak out from behind the skyline, the orange and pink mix hardly showing.
The school was deserted, which was what I was hoping for. Ever since Luke sang us that song, I've been thinking of song lyrics non stop.
The hallways were quite, only one or two janitors were sweeping the floor before school started.
The school seemed completely different when nobody was there, it was calm yet a bit creepy at the same time.
