MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS!😘
Nearly at 30 chapters already?! It feels so unreal😶I can remember the idea popping into my head like it was yesterday.
Btw would you guys prefer to have Denali's POV interlaced with the the main story or having me post scenes from his POV once its finished so you have his and Elisabeth's?
Let me know in your comments please!☺️

Chapter 29
We stayed at Marts until near noon, when the guys started complaining about how hungry they were and that they were going to collapse if they didn't get sustenance. Ilyanna, rolling her eyes, drove us into town and parked up behind the diner, the guys filtering out of the rover and dashing inside.
I wondered if Yodekha would be inside but dismissed it, Ilyanna probably knew her shifts, there was no way she'd go in if there was a chance of her seeing her. So I didn't mention it as we wandered inside.
The nostalgic scent of coffee, baked goods and tea wafted over me. I smiled, heading over to where the guys had bagged a large double booth far off towards the back. Ilyanna followed behind me. "Why have you not worked here recently?" I asked, the thought springing to mind. She'd been attached to me for a while, since she'd been attacked.
"Oh," She nodded, "I took a leave for a while, they had to accept it really 'cause I hadn't had a proper one since the summer."
"I see," I answered as we sat down.
"Aw come on," Beni whined, "we all know that I had it worst." Jared was shaking his head and Anokan was chuckling. Jorge just watched with a faint smirk.
"You have such a victim complex," Jared laughed. Beni's face morphed into a fake look of horror, "You do this all the time to me."
"See?" Anokan snorted. Beni scoffed and they exploded into louder chatter as a waitress hobble over. She was fairly old and balanced precariously a pair of thin glasses on the edge of her nose, "What'll it be?" She asked, her voice croaky and her face pulling into a wide smile that looked forced.
The guys immediately quieted and warbled what they wanted. I ordered a small strawberry cake and sandwich and went back to talking to Ilyanna. "So what was that drama I interrupted earlier?" She wagged her brows. I blushed a little, seeing the guys all turn to me with expectant looks.
"It was nothing." I lied.
"Don't lie, Beth." Jared smirked, "We heard part of the drama, and it seems Denali is hungry like the wolf." He burst into laughter, nudging Beni who stared at him flatly. "Just stop, Jared," He rolled his eyes, "you know neither of them are like that."
He slowly stopped laughing, and smiled sheepishly at me. "I know. I've just been waiting ages to be able to use that." I laughed softly, "I can't say I blame you, it was a good one." He winked at me.
"We uh, well, he told me that I'd move into his house instead." I condensed, still skeptical. Ilyanna leaned forward, excitement glittering in her eyes, "You're gonna live with him?!" Her voice was loud and several people looked our way. I shushed her and gave her a pointed look. She pursed her lips and sat back, "I get it. But spill. Are you going to his house?"
I frowned, "I don't know. I wanted to go back to my own place."
"I can see where he's coming from when he says he won't let you go back," Anokan interrupted, "there's too many Drahg prowling our borders when night comes. It's got all of us antsy, and it's only a matter of time before our defences slip up."
