~Few months later~

Kazuya POV

"GOOAALL!!" The commentator shout through the microphone. The crowd erupted in cheers when the referee whistles, announcing the end of the match. We had won against Kirkwood High. Shiro ran to me and jumped on my back.

"We WON!!" He sang. The rest of the team joined us. It was our first match. The Principal had organized one for us. 'Don't make me regret and win the match.' Was his words when he announced us about it.

"Kazuya!" Rika was waving her hands in all direction. "He is over there." He told the others.

"Where's Aki?" I asked when she reached me.

"I don't know." She looked behind her. "Are you going to the party?"

"I think yes. Why?"

"Just asking." She shrugged. "Hey! Edgar!" She went towards him. There is something going on between those two. They seemed to be spending a lot of time together these days.

I went to search for Aki. I asked to some of the students but none had seen her. 'Where did she go?' I decided to call her.

One ring...

Two...

Three... "Hello." She finally picked up.

"Aki? Where are you?"

"I'm hom...achoo...I'm home.." she said, her voice hoarse.

"Are you sick?"

"No sh*t Sherlock. Of course I am. I asked Rika to tell you."

"She didn't say anything. I even asked her where you were."

She sneezed before answering, "She must had forgotten. It's not a big deal anyway."

"Is Kira home?"

"No. She had to take care of something urgent. But she had left food, so I'm ok."

"I'm coming. Don't do anything. Just stay in bed."

".But...I..." I had already hung up.

Aki POV

Beep...beep...beep...’ he hung up on me. I was currently on my bed, with a large blanket on me. Kira had left few minutes ago. She had asked me if I would be alright by myself. I replied with, "I won't be able to go around anyway so, I'll be fine." I let out a sneeze. I shouldn't have gone outside with my hair still wet. I made myself comfortable again and let sleep took over me again.

*

Something cool pressed up on my forehead made my opened my eyes. Everything was blurry. A figure was beside me. "Sorry for waking you up." Said Kazuya. My eyes had adjusted to the light now. Worry was written on his face.

"It's ok." My voice came out as a whisper.

"You have fever. Had you eaten yet?" I shook my head. He got up and went out of the room. After a while he came back, a tray in his hands. He set it on the nightstand, then helped me sit up. He put a pillow behind my head, making sure I was comfortable. Nodding his head like he was satisfied, he took the bowl of soup from the tray and took a spoon. He blew it a little and put it to my lips. "Eat up. I'll give you your medicine then you have to rest." I nodded and swallowed the hot liquid.

After taking the bitter medicine, Kazuya tucked me in bed. He went to fetched a bassin of water and a towel. All the time, I was watching him. His brows were furrowed in concentration. It's was cute. 'Why did I think that?' It must be the fever.

"Are you alright?" He asked worryingly. He put his hand on my forehead. "Your fever seemed to be the same as earlier. Why are you bright red?"

"I...It's nothing." I shuttered.

"You should get some rest." I nodded. He smiled and left.

When I woke up, something was preventing me from moving my left arm. I looked over and saw Kazuya fast asleep on it. He stirred a little and opened his eyes. "Hi." He smiled.

"Hi." I replied back. He stretched his back from its stiffness due to his bent position.

"Are you feeling better?" He asked. I nodded. He got up and placed his forehead on mine. His breath fanned against my face, making me blushed. "You don't seemed to have a fever anymore."

"I...I will...go take a shower." I stammered. 'He was just checking my temperature.' I thought, although a little bit disappointed.

"Not so fast." He grabbed my hand and pulled me on his lap. "I didn't got my reward for winning the match yet." He smirked.

"What do you want?" I gulped.

"I want..." He tapped his chin with his index finger, then answered, "...a kiss." I placed a kiss on his cheek. He frowned.

"Here, you got it. Let me go."

"No."

"Why?"

"I want a reward for nursing you." I kissed him on the other cheek.

"Let me go now."

"No. I want a kiss first." He grinned. "On the lips." My face flushed a bright red. I give him a quick peck on the lips and quickly dashed to the bathroom, when his grip had loosen. I closed the door and slowly slide down on the floor. A smile on my lips.

That was my childhood love...
