Josh's POV

Oh shit! Sarah just fainted. I stand up from the big leather chair I am sitting in and run over to her. I have my first aid, but I can't think of what to do at this moment. I know I can't leave the area, so I kneel beside her and check for breathing.

"Sarah?" I whisper, after finding that she is breathing normally. "I didn't mean to shock you." I lightly tap her cheek with my hand and flip her onto her side, propping her head onto my lap.

Her eyes flutter and suddenly open with confusion. "What the hell? You've never even heard me sing or play. Why am I on the ground?" She glares at me a second and then tries to sit up. "Ouch." She cries as she falls back to the floor.

"You fainted, lay down for a bit." I gently pull her back into my lap and feel her head for any bumps. 'Where does it hurt?"

"Here." Sarah points at the back of her head, before it dips into her neck.

"You hit the ground pretty hard, but there aren't any bumps. You might have a mild concussion." I sound so smart, but I'm terrified, for liability issues.

"OK. Help me up and let's talk about this on the way to the clinic." Even while she might have a concussion, Sarah is practical. It's amazing, because if I were her, I'd just want to go back to work.

"Let's go. I'll carry you." I pick her up, bridal style, and take her down the stairs to the parking lot. On our way out, Jessica stops us.

"What happened?" She asks, with concern in her eyes.

"Nothing we can't fix." I smile and look at Sarah, shit. Her eyes are closed. "Sarah, don't fall asleep. If there is something wrong, it isn't good for you."

"Ugh, OK. Let's get going then." She groans, clutching her head. I run out of the building and to my car. I lay Sarah in the backseat and speed off to the walk in clinic.

"Ms. Zeal? They'll see you now." One of the nurses calls. I pick up Sarah and the nurse leads us into a small room with a doctor's table in it. I sit beside Sarah on the bed and give her hand a reassuring squeeze.

"You'll be fine." I smile sadly. The doctor walks in with a clipboard and a stethoscope. He looks like someone who delivers bad news, and I don't like that.

"Good afternoon. What seems to be your problem?" He asks Sarah, checking her eyes as he asks.

"I fainted when I heard some . . . news . . . and hit my head pretty hard on the ground." She answers, still holding onto my hand for dear life. She's got quite the grip.

"I see. Well you seem just fine, other than overwhelmed by information. I see, here, that you just moved to Vancouver from Summerlin, Nevada. That's a pretty far trip." Ugh, this doctor is too nosey. If Sarah needs rest, then let us go so we can get her to bed.

"If there's nothing wrong, can we go?" I ask, with the most fake smile I can muster.

"Definitely! You two be careful, now. Get lots of rest, Ms. Zeal." The doctor echos my fake voice and I roll my eyes. Sarah sees and squeezes my hand, warning me to be nice, no doubt.

We return to my car and Sarah sleeps until we get to our apartment building. "Sarah, we're home."

"Can I stay with you tonight? I don't really feel like going home." I have the strangest feeling that she isn't talking to me. I think this is another one of her dreams. I shake her, and she starts awake.

"We're home. You should go to a sleep clinic." I say, in all seriousness. She gives me a surprised look and gets out of the car.

"Do I snore?" She asks, self-consciously. I laugh and shake my head, taking her hand and walking her to the door.

When we walk into her apartment, one of her roommates comes running at us. "Where were you all day?" She asks, looking worried.

"Ryan, I'm fine. I got a job at a recording studio, and Josh was giving me a tour." Sarah lies. She's not really fine, and I doubt she'll tell her friends about the faint.

"We never officially met. I'm Joshua Ramsay, lead singer of the band Marianas Trench." I smile and extend my hand.

"Oh?" Ryan shakes my hand and looks at Sarah with a warning. It must have to do with the other guy . . . I won't say anything at all.
