Hogwarts castle- GPS error

Artemis couldn't decide whether he had an attack of the screeching melodramas or whether it was really necessary. He was beside the door of the Great Hall, listening to Dumbledore's speech.

Right on cue, Dumbledore said, 'I would like to tell you that there would be a additions to the students and the staff-'

Artemis pushed the door open. Every eye on the Great Hall was turned at him, and a few were gawping at him, whispering. No doubt they had heard his speech.

Dumbledore cleared his throat. Instantly everyone in the Great Hall fell silent. Artemis quirked an eyebrow, otherwise showing no indication of his surprise. Interesting, he thought. They all respect him, even the Slytherins. Especially Slytherins.

One trait they shared with Gryffindor.

'May I introduce you to our new seventh year student,' said Dumbledore, 'Artemis Fowl.' All the Muggle- borns gasped and exchanged glances. Artemis noticed that most of them were in Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, and a few in Ravenclaw, certainly none in Slytherin. He saw that a few pure bloods looked  startled.

They must have heard of Hugo de Fole  then. Hugo de Fole had been a wizard, among his two sons, only one had been a wizard, the other a squib, whom he decided to abandon him in the Muggle world.

The Fowl line in the Wizarding World had died out, having no heir to the family.

Although most had said the squib son had not known about the Wizarding World, they were wrong. The squib, by the name Rile, had been highly intelligent and had managed to find the magical world, much like Artemis himself. He had started the criminal empire, and had managed to procure and create a library of books to become knowledgeable on the Wizarding World and the spells. Although he did not have magic himself, he had passed down the family secret, in the hope that one of his grandsons would be a witch or wizard.

Artemis smiled his vampire smile, and saw that a few first years were shuddering. The Slytherins however, were looking at each other questioningly. A girl about seventeen gave a firm nod.

He placed the Sorting Hat gingerly on his head. Immediately, the Hat spoke to him.

'Artemis Fowl, we meet again.' said the tiny voice of the Hat.

'Of course,' he replied. ' Quit stating factual remarks and sort me'

' Feeling cross today, aren't we Artemis?' said the Hat in an amused voice.

'You would feel the same if you pretend to like a moronic fan girl and his best friend, who needless to say I actually like, facing some who Opal Koboi who is out to kill me yet again, and who I believe is working with Voldemort, by processing Ron Weasley to get information of the Boy- Who- Lived.' said Artemis dryly.

'You sound so much like Salazar...SLYTHERIN' yelled the Hat.

'Thanks Hat,' whispered Artemis, going to the Slytherin table where the cheering for him. Word certainly travels fast, he thought.

He couldn't help but notice that the other Houses were clapping for him, too.

A smirk was on his lips. His plan was certainly coming into action.

The note he received from Dumbledore only made his smirk wider.

 Mr. Fowl,

Meet me at my office at twelve o'clock today. We need to discuss an important matter. The Founders send they're regards.

Albus Dumbledore.

His plan was perfect.
