Artemis looked around the Forbidden Forest. Mainly, at the Thestrals. He had been planning to come for the Forbidden Forest since a long time but something had held him back.

He knew that it was the memories of the numerous deaths he'd seen. He recalled them sadly, though he had not personally known them, he knew that the guilt would still remain.

Artemis thanked God that Julius Root hadn't died when he didn't have his memories of the People. Opal's plan had failed. Again. Thanks to Artemis's quick thinking, Root had been in a coma for the past few years and hadn't shown any sign of waking. To the general populace, Julius Root was dead. Artemis suspected that the person who wrote the book series had believed that Commander Root was indeed dead. Or had partially believed it.

He snorted to himself. The fairies were sometimes remarkably like humans; they nearly always believed what they were told.

'You know,' came a dreamy voice from behind him. Artemis turned around, startled. He hadn't heard anyone coming at all. He looked around. It was Luna Lovegood. 'I have never seen someone with so many Wrackspurts in his brain.'

'Is that so?' asked Artemis, tilting his head at her.

'Oh yes,' said Luna, tossing her hair, and Artemis smelled the familiar scent of grass and citrus. 'They invade your thoughts and makes your brain think much faster, though most of The People do not believe that,' she finished, emphasizing on the words, The People. She gave him a small smile and said, 'Follow me.'

'Your one of the People, correct?' asked Artemis, as they walked towards their destination.

'Oh yes,' said Luna, smiling mysteriously. 'Just not the People you expect.'

'The People which stayed behind when the People who moved underground, to keep the witches and wizards safe, I gather.' said Artemis, as always, in his lecture mode. 'I know that the Goblins of the Wizarding World  originated from here, as well as the centaurs'

Luna gave him an odd look. 'You have done your research very well, Artemis Fowl.'

'Everybody will know their History a little better if you were on the Founders time,' He thought with some amusement. 'When the split between the People and Humans occurred.'

Regrettably, he hadn't known what had happened to the Founders. He had left in the midst of war, as none of them had allowed him to fight in the battle of Taillite.

Luna stopped suddenly. She glanced at the stack of rocks in front of her, and said 'Open,'  in Gnommish.

Immediately, the cave began to disappear. In its place stood a tall man, nearly six feet tall, with cold, startling, onyx black eyes, eyes that wore the same expression of recognition that Artemis wore.

'Artemis,' said the man, his arms extended. 'It has been a long time. Millenniums, in fact.'

'Of course,' said Artemis, smiling as the man hugged him. 'Salazar'
