Chapter 7

Next Day

I woke when Hayes alarm went off and he told me to go back to sleep because it was four something in the morning but I couldn't because he was starting at a new job at some car tire place or something like that and would be there all day and I didn't want him to go but he had to, well he doesn't have to but he wants to or we wouldn't have anything in this house.

I got up and walked into the bathroom and he was brushing his teeth. He looked up at me then spit into the sink and wiped his mouth.

"Why aren't you asleep?" He asked walking over to me.

"Because I'm not sleepy anymore."

"Well I need you to try to go back to sleep because if you stay up now you will get sleepy while you have to watch the kids. Please go lay down." He said walking me back to the bed.

"Hayes what do you have to do at this new job?" I asked turning to him. He sighed and turned on the lamp then sat down next to me.

"I set at the front desk thing and take money from the people who are paying for whatever they are getting. I promise I'm not going to be doing anything like taking and putting stuff together. Plus I don't know how to do any of that so I would have to go through training and all that and I'm not doing that with what is happening at this house right now." he said and so much was lifted off my shoulders when he told me what was going on while he was there.

"Okay?" He said making me look up at him. I nodded smiling and he kissed my cheek.

"Now go back to sleep." he said laying me down. He put the covers over me then went back into the bathroom to get ready but I never went to sleep because I was still worried. Anything could happen while he was there. A car could explode, or the place could catch on fire from a car exploding or he could get knocked out by a robber or anything.

Now that I'm thinking all of this it isn't going to stop until he gets home later tonight at whatever time he gets home, which reminds me, I have to ask him what time he gets off at.

When he walked out he was dressed and all that and walked over to me.

"Go to sleep Maddie."

"I will, I just wanted to ask you what time do you get off?"

"At ten." He said putting his shoes on.

"That's all day."

"I know that Maddie."

"Why are you going to be there all day, I thought it was a twelve hour thing."

"Maddie its from open to close, and if you haven't noticed the twins birthday is next week, we need to buy more stuff for Enya, as in diapers, formula, and baby stuff that is expensive as hell, and we have children to feed so I would rather be working this than not getting paid at all. I will be back before you go to sleep tonight and I will be here when you wake up, so please Maddie just chill out please. All I need you to do is feed the kids, give them baths, and keep them calm all day, that's it so i can get the money and get the twins their birthday stuff, Enya her baby stuff, and food for everyone.  Please Maddie just don't think about anything bad happening to any of us for today please." he said looking my dead in my eyes.

I nodded and he smiled.

"Thank you, now go to sleep." He said and I laid down.  He walked over to the crib and gave Enya a kiss then me and walked out the room.

"Hey look who I got for you as a sleeping buddy." He said holding Noah. He brought Noah to me and I laid him beside me.

"Now you both go to sleep, I have to go now. Oh and Matt and Taylor are the only ones who know about me getting a new job and it will stay like that until I tell everyone else, they will come check on you and the kids later and the dogs are upstairs so when you wake up, let them out." He said and I nodded.
