Chapter 4

Middle of the night (3am)

Maddie's POV

I woke up because the bed started moving and Enya was crying. I sat up and Hayes was fast asleep, and probably was not going to wake up so I just got up with out bothering him and walked over to her crib.

I picked her up and turned on the little lamp by the bed. She wasn't anything but a month old and screams like Jr and Noah.

Oh and their birthday is next month and we still don't know what to do for their birthday yet.

We don't want to go to Chuck e cheese or anything because we did that last year, we can't have a cook out because we did that last year to, so really I don't know. I kinda want to go to a bounce house place and have them jump around and stuff all day and all the kids can come of course but that's alot of money we don't have to spend.

I sighed and stopped thinking about it and continued to rock the crying baby.

Hayes sat up out of no where and picked her up and walked out the room and came back with her sleeping after like ten minutes. He laid her down in bed and laid back down.

"Can you please turn off the light and lay down?" he mumbled and I nodded turning the light off and laying down.

I turned towards him and looked at him. I got really happy for no reason and attacked him with a hug and a kiss every now and then.

"Maddie, what are you doing?"

"Hugging you." I said playing with his hairs on the back of his head.

He sat up and looked at me then hugged me back. His touch gave me warmth and it made me shiver like I was freezing cold.

He might have cheated but we have been through so much that I wouldn't care if he did it a hundred times because I would end up taking him back and I know he would do the same.

"I love you." I whispered and he whispered it back then we laid down just how we were, face to face, with our arms wrapped around each other and went to sleep again.

Next Morning

"Mommy." Jr whispered touching my face.

"What?" I whispered back and he opened my eye with his fingers.

"wake up." he whispered letting my eye lid go.

"Why?"

"Because brother not wake up."

"why daddy can't wake up?"

"Because he woke you up." Hayes said and I rolled my eyes laughing.

"Daddy wake up." He said running to his side of the bed.

"Why did I even say anything." he mumbled.

"Why do you wake up so early?" He said looking at the time on his phone and it was six something in the morning.

"What that mean?"

"Never mind, what do you want Jr?"

"Milk."

"Okay lets go get you some milk." I said taking him down stairs. I grabbed a sippy cup out the cabinet and poured some milk in it then picked him up and took him back up stairs.

He climbed into the bed with us and laid in the middle.

"Mommy." He whispered and I turned to him.

"Is daddy mad at me?" He whispered and he is really bad at whispering.

"No, why would he be mad?"
