Chapter 23

Hayes' POV

When I woke up I got out of bed and went into the bathroom.

I did what I had to do then walked out and went down stairs.

"Daddy." Noah yelled so I stopped and went back up stairs to their room.

"Hey Noah, what's wrong?"

"I go with you down stairs." He said reaching for me so I picked him up and took him down stairs.

"You brush your teeth and use the bathroom?" I asked and he nodded smiling.

"I do it all by myself like big boy and I brush my back teeth, see and I put on my pajamas" He said opening his mouth and showing me he changed into clothes and not his costume.

"Good job, want to help me take down the the Halloween stuff?" I asked turning the alarm off and he nodded.

I opened the front door and walked outside with him and the dogs followed.

We don't have a gate in the front so hopefully Duke and Hunter don't chase and animals.

"Daddy, I get spider webs." He said reaching for the trees.

I picked him up so he could reach it but ended up putting him on my shoulders because my arms got tired.

"Daddy?"

"Yes buddy?"

"Why we have take down stuff?"

"Because, its not Halloween anymore."

"I want it be Halloween daddy."

"Its only for one day buddy, you have to wait until next year." I said and he held on to my head as I grabbed the stuff to throw away.

"Go play with the dogs okay." I said putting him down and he ran over to Stoney. She has always been his favorite.

I took down everything on the windows and doors then laid it on the ground by the steps to pick up after I was done with everything.

"Daddy, Doney dig a hole with box in it." Noah yelled and I turned to him.

"Its fine, he can dig, dogs do that."

"But it a box daddy."

"Take it out then."

"It to big, you come do it." He said.

I sighed walking over to him and grabbed the handle on the box and pulled it up.

It was pretty heavy so I sat it down and put dirt back in the hole.

"Come on, let's go inside." I said picking him up and the dogs followed us inside.

"We wake mommy up daddy?"

"Yeah, come on." I said walking up the stairs with him to our room.

"Mommy wake up." He yelled climbing on her and she sat up hugging him and rubbing her face many times.

"Why are you waking mommy up so early?" She asked him and he pointed at me.

"Look what I found."

"Its a box Hayes."

"It could be a time capsule and we could like Zoey 101." I said and she rolled her eyes laughing.

"Open it with me please?" I asked and she nodded moving closer to me with Noah.

"Wait let's guess what's in it first" she said and I said the first thing that came to my head.

"Money."
