Chapter 5

Next Morning

Hayes' POV

When I woke up the next morning Maddie was still wrapped around me and I still had my arms around her. Which means we didn't really move at all while we were sleeping.

"Hayes." She whispered scaring me.

"What?" I asked looking at my phone.

"Go back to sleep."

"Why?"

"Because I was warm and now I'm cold." She said and I put my arms back around her and she started to quietly snore in my ear.

I held my phone in behind her and started stalking random people on twitter, and some fans then got bored so I texted Matt asking him what time we had to be over at the house, but realized its only nine something in the morning and he probably isn't up yet.

"Hayes." Sky whispered walking over to the bed.

"Yes Sky?" I asked looking at her.

"I'm sorry I said I hated you yesterday, I was upset. I love you both alot and I'm sorry." She said and I unwrapped my arms from Maddie and pulled her in for a hug.

"I love you too Sky." I said kissing her forehead and she stood up again.

"okay I'm going back to sleep now." She said walking out and I turned back around and wrapped my arms around Maddie again.

I looked down at her hand just laying there and it held the ring I was supposed to use when I propose to her but I didn't get to do that so I slowly slid it off her finger and put it in my pocket because I was going to ask her the right way and I wasn't going to buy another ring because they are not cheap.

It takes me at least three or four pay checks to buy one and I still have to get mine, well I have it but I still have to pay for it because I didn't pay for it all but yea I was going to do it the right way.

"Maddie wake up." I said shaking her and she turned over.

"Maddie, I want to get up and you are in the way." I said and she mumbled something and rolled over. I walked over to the bathroom, did what I needed to do then went down the hall and looked into the twins room to check on them and they were still asleep.

I walked down stairs and sat on the couch and watched tv for a few hours until Maddie screamed.

I ran upstairs to our room and she was sitting on the floor crying.

"What's wrong?" I asked picking her up and sitting her on my lap.

"My ring, it's gone. I wore it to sleep last night and its gone Hayes. I'm sorry I didn't mean to lose it." She said crying into my chest and I probably should have told her but decided not to.

"It's fine, it's somewhere in the room, it couldn't have gotten that far away." I said rocking back and forth, rubbing her back.

"No Hayes, that's the second one so far and you act like they cost a dollar, they don't Hayes. I didn't mean to lose it, really I'm sorry Hayes." She said holding me tighter.

"Maddie, we will find it okay, stop crying." I said getting a text from Matt.

M-Hey so I just woke up and  apparently no one knew when to go to the house so be there in an hour and a half. Johnnie isn't there, they found him and he is in jail right now and Will is already there since he slept there. We are basically having a family reunion so be there on time.

I didn't replay, I looked at the time and it was twelve something. I really sat down there watching tv for three hours.

"Maddie we have to start getting ready to go to the old house." I said standing up with her crying into my chest.
