The day had finally come. Probably the most important day leading up until the entry into the arena. Final Evaluation Day.

The last few days of training had been very tiring, but I knew I was ready. Since I was basically last, besides for 13. We had to spend the whole day at the training center waiting. While everyone got to mentally prepare for the entry tomorrow.

I was finally up, my turn had come. I never knew what to expect, except for what everyone talked about what Katniss Everdeen did to the Peacekeepers during her evaluation. However, she did earn a pretty good score, which I was hoping would happen to me too. I was not afraid to shoot an arrow at the Peacekeepers if it meant for me to get back home to my family.

"June Brinley." blasted over the speaker echoing through the empty halls which meant it was my turn to go.

I escorted myself to the training room, walking through the self-opening doors.

"June Brinley." I said to the Peacekeepers. "District 12."

I walked over to the weapons and reluctantly pulled the axe off the shelf. I walked over to the fighting dummies and started hurling the axes at the dummies. I glaced over at the top box where the Peacekeepers where sitting. Most of them were eating and drinking amongst themselves, not paying any attention to me.

I decided to do something a little more eyecatching. I took this time 2 axes off the shelf and chucked two at a time at the dummies. Knocking them down. However, they still weren't paying any attention to me.

Anger was starting to boil up inside of me.

I slowly grabbed an axe and started swinging it in my hand.

Some started looking over at me but, quickly looked back in fear of missing something.

Just then, Avoxes carried a huge pig into the top box, with an apple held in its mouth.

I have impecbale aim, I know that. And, I know that if I tried to hit something far away, I could.

I swung my axe once more and raised it, ready to throw.

As soon as the axe left my hand, I knew I was in trouble.
