5 more.
It has only been a week and 19 tributes have died. If anything, I thought that this game would go on for a long time, because of all the older tributes and stronger ones.
But, my goal was too win. I was going to win and make it home. But, I needed to find an allie.
Clark was out of the picture, and so was Sabrina. But, there was still one more tribute, and I needed to find out who it was.
Just than, the capitol's seal appeared in the sky and President Brownsman's voice boomed through the speakers.
"Congrats tributes. You are the final five. I know that these games have gone past somewhat quickly, so, there will be a game changer. At sundown today, something will happen. You won't know what, but something will happen. And at sundown, everyone, all five of you, must return to the Cornacoupia. Now, you might be thinking, 'Who am I up against? Well, I'll tell you. Sabrina, District 10." A picture of Sabrina's menacing face flashed throught the sky.
"Clark, Distrct 12." Clark's face flashed throught the sky.
"June, District 12." My face appeared.
"Brent, District 13." A nice, warm face appeared in the sky. He seemed like a fighter at training, but his picture was another story.
"Those are your final five. Now, I will show you there locations."
WHAT?! She was definetly trying to change everything.
A map of the arena appeared in the sky, showing where we all were.
Clark and Sabrina were in a cluster by the lake. And Brent and I were strangely close. He seemed to be, right next to me. I looked down, and there he was. Still sleeping, he was sitting up against the trunk of my tree with a spear in hand. He looked like the perfect person to team up with.
"Ladies and Gentleman, that is all. Thank you for your cooperation and Happy Hunger Games."
The seal appeared once more and everything was back to normal. I tried visuallizing the map in my head. I remembered Sabrina and Clark were by the lake on the other side of the arena.
I was safe, until sundown. I needed to team up with Brent to survive the rest of these games.
I decided to climb down and see if I could talk to him.
When I reached the ground. I took the spear out of his hands, preventing further injury to me, and shook his shoulder.
"Brent." I whispered. "Brent!" I said in a normal voice, shaking him awake. His eyes fluttered open and he immediately became on alert. He reached for his spear, which I was holding in my hand, but pulled it away and said,
"Its okay. I won't hurt you." I said in a nice tone. "You missed alot." I said throwing the spear to the side and sitting next to him. He seemed alarmed that was being this nice to him.
I explained everything and what I thought about us teaming up.
"Well," He said, he had a deep toned voice that sounded like my dad. "Thanks for telling me all this, and I was hoping we would team up as well. I always admired your skill with the axe."
"Thanks." I said blushing.
"Just one question," He said.
"Ya?"
"Do you have any food?"
