Chapter 18 - The Surprise

I awoke with an extreme pain of hunger in my stomach. The dizziness was gone, well almost gone.

I had to find food, and quick.

The Capitol's anthem started playing and the seal appeared in the sky.

"Hello tributes." her voice filled the arena. "Since, you have not seen each other for the past 5 days, we decided to make things a little more interesting."

Oh gosh. Another twist? I don't think I can handle this one. If they are releasing more creatures into the arena, I swear.

"At dusk, we will do something, that might be somewhat, familair."

Katniss. That's all I could think. What happend in her games in the final few.

"At dusk, at the cornacoupia we will have something that both you very much need."

In Katniss' games they held a meeting at the cornacoupia, which is where Katniss both got medicine for Peeta and almost got killed by Clove.

"Please attend."

The seal appeared and that was all. At dusk, is when I would get food.

It was dusk and it was time to go. I packed up all the medicine and set off for the Cornacoupia.

This was my time to get rid of Sabrina. My last chance.

I approached the Cornacoupia the same exact time as Sabrina did. We both walked out of the woods the opposite sides at the same time.

She had her bow strund and ready. That was the only thing she had. She had the bow and arrow pointed straight at me, as I raised my axe and started running.

We havent been here or seen each other ever since Brent and Clark died.

 I grabbed the sinch bag of what I guessed to be food that had 12 written on it.

She shot her first arrow at me, that whizzed past my head and shoulders.

I had to save my axe.

 I started running to the woods when the second arrow hit me in my lower arm. I dropped and winced in pain as Sabrina sprinted over to finish me off.

She appeared over me and raised her arrow.

This was my chance.

She strung back her bow.

I grabbed my axe.

She pulled ready to release it straight into my chest. Making it impossible for me to make it home.

I closed my eyes and hurled my axe at her leg.

She tumbled over. Just giving me enough time to escape.

I knew I didn't kill her, but I knew she was injured.

I tumbled over under the trees and blacked out, just as I had the night before
