She was under me. What am I going to do? I thought.
I looked around, silently, and took inventory.
I still had one more pack, but the second pack went down with Brent. The second pack was basically just bandages and medicine. I had a pack of crackers and one parcel down at the bottom of the bag.
I reached down to the bottom of the crate and unwrapped it.
Nightlock. Deadly berries often placed randomly throughout the arena.
I picked up the berries and examined them. Yep, they were nightlock. The purple berries glistened in the mid-day sun.
The sky was darkening quickly and nighttime was when I was going to place the berries in just the right place and hope that Sabrina would pick them up, and eat them.
I heard a rustle of leaves and looked down. Sabrina was starting to pack up her things to move. She threw some of her water on the fire and placed the her backpack on her back and started walking towards the Cornacoupia. Where, she probably thought I was.
I decided that I would hang onto the nightlock until I was really done with the arena.
I ate the cracker pack and went to sleep.
