Synopsis:Deep in the heart of Alaska, Adrian Lunar wishes he could be just a regular wolf. But he's the Alpha's son and a strange magic has given all Alphas the ability to become humans to protect their pack. When Leah's family enters the witness protection program, Moon Creek seems like the safest place to hide. But when a strange black wolf starts following her, Leah wonders if there may be more to the local werewolf myths.
The pack comes first. That was Adrian's simplest rule. Until Leah came and changed everything. But with so many things separating them, is a relationship even possible or is betrayal inevitable?

Review:I have to be honest I did roll my eyes a few times at this story, but it was mostly just about the last names of characters, mean girls, and one character's naïve forgiveness. I like how the writer chose to change the "basic rules of werewolves". In this story only the Alphas can change form and mates are chosen. If you don't like that idea the writer didn't change the "basic werewolf rules" too much. The werewolves in this story still mate for life. I also like some of the other changes the writer made.
To me it made the world they created more realistic. The writer made the werewolves in this story more wolf than human. In most stories the werewolves are more like humans that happen to be able to change into a wolf and have a different way of life. I actually have had this story in my library for a long time. I don't know why I took so long to read it,but it didn't disappoint.
If you don't want to search for Moon Creek you should be able to find it in my reading list titled Werewolves.
