Review|If you don't like period pieces this story is not for you. Whenever I read a story that is set in another time I'm always amazed. How do the writers change their way of thinking to fit the story they're writing? Our speech is different and our way of doing things is different. Black Knight is easy to follow though.
(If you're not sure about reading a story in a different time period.)
Plus the writing is very believable.
Nan is a beggar, she does what she can for who she can. She soon meets Sir William who is known has the Black Knight. He's surprised when Nan doesn't run from his scared face. He later takes advantage of circumstances and gets Nan to live with him has his mistress.
(But, words it has a companion because Nan still has her pride.)
Worth the read.
