Original Synopsis-

Scarlett has faced the rejection of her mate and came out the other side a little less naive and a lot more bitter. The only problem is that her ex mate does t want to let her go even though he moved on to someone else. The only thing she can do is go in the run.

But, she crosses over into uncharted territory and lands herself in the hands of one very cold harder Alpha. If fates weren't cruel enough they've given Scarlett another chance at a mate with no other than the cold hearted Noah. His own past is tainted in darkness and heartache — leaving Scarlett to question if he even has the ability to love anymore. But, whatever comes her way Scarlett is determined to have her second chance. Nothing is going to stand in her way,not the mate who rejected her,the rogues who speak to destroy the little happiness she's been able to grasp to, or the man who seems content to push her away.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger or at least that's what they say.

Original Review-
I never really liked the whole thought of second chance mates. It ruins the thought of true mates in stories to me. If the moon goddess planned an exact pairings to be together,how can they reject each other? (They should be able to work on their relationship.) But,I guess I like the characters being able to make their own choices too. His To Claim breaks away from the second chance stigma (?).

Scarlett isn't expecting another mate after being rejected from her true mate,David. Who has constricted Scarlett's life to never being able to leave him. He doesn't care that he rejected her and has already moved on to her replacement. So, Scarlett decides to take her life in her own hands and runs away. Like most stories, she comes across her knew mate when she accidentally passes into his territory. Scarlett doesn't even realize that their mates until she punches him. Noah is just has confused as Scarlett. His true mate was killed in an accident involving his rogue brother. At first the two don't mesh well,but eventually they start to reluctantly care for another. Noah starts to fear that his rogue brother will once again come between him and his mate. Scarlett is worried that her fragile heart will face rejection again.

Scarlett rises out of the ashes and into the arms of a cold hearted Alpha on a quest of redemption grouch vengeance. The road ahead of them is paved in brutality and blood...things will be lost and things will be gained...

And maybe two hearts will be given a second chance...

Rewrite Review-
This just proves how people improve on their skills. In the beginning I kept thinking,"did I read this?", but I continued to read anyway. It was only near the end that I recognized it. I just thought that I had read a book with the same title. For the most part I just focused on the story and not if I had read it before. I think that all writers should spend time away from their work and revisit it later. In the time between their writing will have changed and they'll be able to improve upon their already finished work.
