He rolled his eyes, waving his hand impatiently and he said,"Hades. Come on,say it with me. Ha-des."
"Hades.",Ariel breathed out, still not believing he sight before her. Every picture she had seen of the gods had not depicted Hades' beauty. The man sitting before her was not a crusty old man which a white beard ;no, he was a Calvin Klein model.
"Yes.",Hades clasped his hands together and grimaced,"the God of death and riches;that's me.",Ariel nodded,still refusing to believe but knowing she had to and Hades' grimace turned even bitter,"And you,darling,will be staying with me for quite some time."

Ariel was born with the power to kill things with her touch. She didn't know that until at seventeen she accidentally killed her boyfriend. Years later after her self shunning Ariel is being pursued by many who wish to use her powers to kill the gods. In order to protect themselves and her the gods take her under their care. Unfortunately for Hades he is forced with the duty of her protection since he is already dead and can not be harmed by her powers.
This story has won a Watty and is definitely worth the read. The writer,_gwynne, obviously researched facts about the gods and didn't just put them in the story to make it interesting.
