I don't know how I even found this book. (Whose reading list its from.)
Basically, super natural creatures have been recently revealed for the past three years. (I think?) Anna is a witch with an air affinity. (Did I use that right?) Her main focus is on research, but her goal is becoming part of the force. The only thing stopping her is that she is extremely prejudice against vampires based off past events. A call for help from her best friend turns out badly and Anna will do anything to make things right. Now she has a chance to work with the force alongside the head vampire of New York, Alexander.
