Numb The End Begins Now
It's six in the morning, the sun blazes outside, I wake up in a ratted apartment that could use some major TLC. But I manage to get up from bed, walk into the kitchen with my Victoria secret shorts and black tank top, my hair tousled in a messy bun to the point that it looks like you could compare it to a rats nest on my head. I scratche my head and walk to the sink to fill up the coffee pot to prepare some dunkin donuts coffee....low brand shit in a bag my dad always said.
It's been almost two years since the murder of my parents, and not once have I given up on training or hunting down the only name I can remember....Lucifer. By the time the coffee heats up I turn on the radio for the current outlook. About a year after my parents were attacked, the vampire's have come out more and more as if a secret army is coming out and killing anyone who is related, works, or has anything to do with the government, Which means that most humans are beginning to go extinct and the world of Armageddon is coming to which vampires grow more. sometimes you see the occasional angel who supposedly helps souls but only takes them to be slaves under they're own use.......I've always hated angels.
The radio screeches as I turn the dial to a station that might work, I stop fast to hear the calm announcers voice on the radio. "Well today is going to be a lovely 102 degrees-"
I snort," There ain't nothin "lovely" about the damn hot weather!" I turn around to the coffee pot and grab a mug from the cupboard that has no doors on it, a rat scurries into a whole which makes me flinch. disgusting.....god forsaken creatures! I begin to wash the mug out as the reporter brings up current news.
" Our latest news, the population of humans alive forty five percent.......number of growing vampires....102 percent. As we've all known how this day would end....mankind as we know it....is going extinct."
" Not on my watch." I turn off the radio, chug down the rest of my coffee causing me to burp. I run to my room to slip on my clothes, shorts and of course my grey v-neck t-shirt with the safety vest. I pull on my red knee socks with my black converse shoes. fixing my hair into a pony tail because of the heat.
" Alright....lets go kick some vampire ass today dad!" I blow a kiss to a picture of my mom and dad that sticks on the mirror, then slowly pull if off and fold it small enough to fit in the small pocket of my shorts.
Heading out the door I quickly hide in the shadows until I begin walking to find some food, supplies are a huge necessity that I don't have at the moment. Walking down the street a little ways I quickly freeze and dart behind a rummaged car. Vampires. They walk behind two people, a boy and girl who look terrified. I sprint to the building looking in the window and watching until an opening is good, voices mumble low until yelling and shrieking begin.
" Now listen here! you give us what we need we'll let you go."
" I will never give up my sister to you scumbags!"
" we promise we will be soft.....besides she smells.....delicious."
" Josh! please don't let them do it-"
" I promise zayba! nothing will happen to you!"
Both vampires smile at each other with amusement. Slowly they move towards the boy and girl, that was my cue to begin shooting. One shot goes off and that gets their attention, a second shot goes off and hits the bicept of the vampire on the right. Both don't hesitate to begin charging towards me, quickly I pull a round house kick which makes both of them land straight on their backs.
"West! did you see what she did to my jacket?!"
" Does it look like I give a damn about your jacket?" both breath in and out slowly. Noticing its quiet they tilt their heads back and look from toe to head of Erin.
