Chapter Nine

 Sitting in a recliner Josh sulks trying to connect everything together. He could not be more jealous then ever. Sitting in silence, his thoughts, the actual envelope that Erin had, bothered Josh to the core.

He stands quickly and starts pacing back in forth.

Did she really mean it as a thank you card? or was it really her feelings in a love letter....." Ahg! this is so bloody confusing!"

Scratching his scalp like its going to help him think harder... He plumps down on the couch rubbing his eyes. Why do I feel like this? I promised Erin I would stay cool and so far its not working out.....Josh is silent until he hear's a second breath, its Zayba. Josh rolls his eyes." Did Erin send you for me?"

Zayba sits down slowly next to Josh as he leans back in the couch. Zayba opens her mouth to speak but nothing comes out. She puts her hand up to speak again and same thing, no words come out.

" Look, if your just going to sit with me I prefer to do that alone."

Zayba dosen't hold back any words now. She quickly stands up and walks towards Josh. " You giant arse! you.....you go off like a little fanny and pout!"

" Zayba! how dare you say that!...you know nothing about-"

" Don't interrupt me when i'm talking to you....you plonker! I know exactly whats going on between you and Erin!"

" Your bloody rediculous! nothing is going on between Erin and I! now go and bugger off will you!"

Zayba stares at Josh for a moment, you can tell he crossed the line as Josh starts to feel guilty he goes to apologize until Zayba backs away. " Zayba.....I'm just-"

" There's no need to apologize." Zayba turns around and glares at Josh. " But i'm only going to warn you once that if you really care about Erin like I hope you do? get off your fat arse and stop acting like such a twat!"  Zayba quickly turns around and picks up a pace leaving Josh standing there with his thoughts.

silence grows around Josh, his thoughts make him think harder. I guess Zayba's right....I have to find Erin. Josh quickly runs to the escalators which were not working so it felt like running up two flights of stairs, before he made it to the top, coming down was Erin. Both their eyes meet as they both slow down before halting in front of one another.

Erin breathes hard. " Josh....I'm glad I found you!"

Josh stares at Erin with an eyebrow raised. " Really?.....cause I'm glad I did too."

Erin stares deep into Josh's eyes and starts to speak again. " Josh, I just want to say-" before Erin could finish Josh tries to pull Erin in for a kiss, their faces inches away but neither makes the first move. " I.....wanted to say.....thank you."  Josh steps down a step rubbing the back of his neck. " What for? all i've done is yell at you and make you feel awful."

Erin scoughs. " Yes but you've also saved my life so many times......and that makes me appriciate you....and I was hoping if you would.....maybe come with me to.....see my parents?"

Josh stares at Erin with wide eyes. Erin looks worried, " Not that you weren't invited anyways....I just need someone close for support."

Josh smirks at Erin. She stands confused unitl Josh finally answers," Yeah. I'll go if you need me."

Erin grins a little. " Great. then we have to quickly get ready because we leave soon!" Erin turns and starts up the stairs.

" Erin wait!"Josh grabs Erin's hand. She turns back quickly surprised again.

" Yeah what's up Josh?" Her eyes sparkle like the emerald green that it is.

Josh can't find the words so instead smiles. " Never mind. I'll meet you upstairs okay?"

Confused." Uh, okay?" Erin turns and runs up the stairs to meet with Gale and Zayba who are ready to transform her look.
