Chapter Fourteen

The venom starts to take over my mind, dark thoughts creep inside my head. Everything is becoming blurry....I can't see his face anymore......my heart feels like its going to jump out of my chest.....I'm coming in and out of consciousness......what is happening to me?

Lucifer reaches his headquarters in an instant, falling to the floor some of his men help him up. " Eh, boss are you alright?" Lucifer breathes heavily before grabbing one man and chucking him at the wall, taking him out cold. " Shut up!" he hisses.

Slowly he walks over and sits down in his chair, Cullen comes rushing out of his room towards Lucifer. " What happened? your transformation is gone!" he grabs a first aid kit and begins to check over Lucifer, dabbing his cuts that Erin caused.

" It was Erin......after everyone left because I said some things.....we went to the springs and well one thing led to another and she kissed me...."

Cullen freezes instantly.....his face is pale and he turns to Lucifer......." She kissed you!.........what happened after that?"

He breathes sharply, " well she acted terrified when I transformed and backed away.....she said she hated me and I transformed into vampire mode and chased her to the patio....."

Cullen catches hiself on the table for balance, his heart rate speeds up more and more. " Who else saw you?"

" Gale. He threatened me but I got him good........if I can't have her then he can't either......so I bit her...."

Cullen steps away then slaps Lucifer in the face. He quickly backs down after Lucifer gets in his attack mode. " Why the hell did you hit me you little insolent-"

" Your not supposed to kill her you nit wit! do you realize that because your an angel and vampire your venom is fatal!"  Cullen yells.

" Well.......I was just so angry........what do I do now?!" 

" Your going to do absolutely nothing! you need to stay far away from there until things cool down!......great now I have to find a medicine for it......." 

Cullen starts to search the cabinets for a certain medicine, after a couple of minutes he finds it and packs it inside his satchel. Glaring at Lucifer before he leaves and all Lucifer does is flip him off as he leaves. Even though he knew he was right......he's still in shock that she even kissed him..... in a different form she still did....

I lay in bed going crazy, my body is struggling with the pain. The venom not only weakens you but it makes you remember the bad memories......it makes you hallucinate really bad. Everyone but Gale is outside my room waiting until I'm secure and safe to see, while Gale on the other hand works vigorously to try and find a cure to the venom inside my body....he's tried almost everything but letting me suck his blood. We both know I would kill him too.  Thirty minutes pass until Cullen comes sprinting into the room out of breath.

 He exhales loudly. " Good. I still have time!" 

Quickly he reaches into his satchel and walks over to me pulling out a needle and some liquid stuff. I didn't understand what but Gale noticed and tried to stop him. " Cullen! what are you doing?! you have to leave so she dosen't bite you!"

He fills the surringe with the liquid, " This stuff's going to cure her! I've seen cases like this and this works!" he glances at me then at Gale, " Trust me."

Gale looks down and nods. " alright. Go on." Cullen quickly inserts the needle into my arm, I yelp out in pain but soon I calm down......my heart rate slows down to normal and my vampire form starts to return to normal and I turn into myself once more. I calm down and I smile at Cullen mouthing "thank you" at him. He smiles and nods. " anything for family."

Before I knew it Everyone even the staff came to my room and were crying with joy and smiling with relief.....but I still didn't see Zayba.....I felt concerned so I climbed out of bed walking to Cullen. He stares at me surprised. " You know you really should stay in bed until your fully rested right?"

I smirk. " Yeah I know.....I just haven't seen Zayba.......come to think of it where's Josh?"

Gale walks up to me with a glass of water and  a pill. I raise an eyebrow.

" It's to clear out all of the access venom in your system and body....so you'll be seeing it in your urine, vomit, menstrual cycle,-"

I stop him immediatly. " Okay! I don't think everyone needs to know everything...." I pop the pill into my mouth with a swig of water.

Gale strokes his chin. " I did see him run to go get Zayba......guess he's still working on it....."

I hand Gale the glass. " Let me go and see her then!" Gale stares at me with a concerned look. " Oh com'on! I'm perfectly fine! and if she isn't  then I won't be able to get any rest." I point my finger in his face. He nods his head, " Fine. But quickly!" 

I smile a big grin and walk quickly  out of my room towards where Zayba was staying. I reach towards her door and its cracked open, I hear her crying so I listen for a second.

" I'm sorry. I still can't believe I said that to her!"

Josh kneels in front of her as he talks to her in a soft voice.....that's a side of Josh I've never seen before. 

" Zayba, You know why Mum left us......she was trying to do the right thing......"

Zayba stands up and walks toward the window staring out at the landscape. " She didn't do the right thing! she abandoned us! She didn't care about herself and made us leave!......."

Josh sighs outloud. " But remember how she used to read you stories every night when she would come home from work?"

Zayba smiles a sad smile. " yeah..........I just want to see her one last time.......I just wish I could've taken her place.....maybe then she would still be here with you......"

I open the door quickly with tears coming down my face. Both look at me surprised and shocked.

" If you took her place then I would've never gotten to meet the one person who is my best friend! Your brother needs you......we all do!"

Zayba runs over to me hugging me tightly. " Oh my god your okay! b-but how?"

I smile big. " Cullen brought me a cure that took care of it."

Josh smiles and hugs me as I do the same. " It's good to have you well again."

I glance at Zayba whose still sad then back at Josh. " Can you give us a moment? I want to speak with Zayba privately."

" sure thing."  He shuts the door softly.

" Zayba......I'm sorry to hear about your mom....but I know exactly what your going through....."

She stares at me with tears feeling up her eyes. " What do you mean you know.....You know nothing! You still have a mom that's alive! you still have a Dad that's alive and  I have no one!"

I stare at her. She's right.....but wrong also....." I lost my human  that were close to me. they are still my parents dead or not."

I stand up and walk towards the door. " And you still have Josh....isn't that enough?"

She stands up and walks towards the window....." I want you to leave me alone......please just leave me alone!"

I walk out of the room shutting the door. Josh sits on one of the benches in the hallway, he notices me and walks up to me with worried eyes. " What happened?"

I look down towards the ground. " She want's to be alone......i'll let her be alone....." with that said I walk back towards my room leaving josh standing there worried still.
