Chapter Twelve

Balthazar reaches his study, opening the door he slumps down at his desk. Loor is right behind rationalizing his thoughts.

" I can't believe you said that to her!" Loor stands in front of the desk with her hands on her hips scowling at Balthazar.

He raises his head. " Loor she looks nothing like her! Not to mention that she seems jumpy, it seems almost not normal!"

Loor rubs her head. " She's been gone for fourteen years, of course she's not going to look the same as she did when she was younger! And she probably feels intimidated by you, so she's nervous."

" Well she shouldn't! vampires are afraid of nothing and no one."

Loor walks around the desk grabbing Balthazar's shoulders. " Darling, she's going to need time to get used to a new enviorment.....and she needs her father's love....."

Both sit in silence until finally Balthazar looks up at Loor touching her hand and nods. " Fine. I'll speak with her tomorrow morning." Loor and Balthazar hug tightly.

Abruptly, Cullen burst into the room breathing hard until he quickly  fixes his shirt and walks slowly towards Loor and Balthazar.

" Sorry to intrude....but someone told me that she was here." His eyes light up with excitment. 

Loor 's  stare glistens into a soft stare. " Yes she's here."

Excited," Well where is she! I want to see her right away!"

Loor walks around the desk and sits on the corner of it gently. " Where, not sure where she is. Earlier Balthazar said she wasn't his child, which that upset her and she ran off into the garden and we haven't seen her since then."

Cullen's smile disappears quickly. " Uncle, you told her she wasn't your child! Your own daughter! why would you do something so-"

Balthazar Stands up quickly pushing his chair back against the wall. " Young man, when you have a child like I have and you have her taken away from you.....then come speak with me then! I will imply that you keep your mouth shut, my actions were on my own terms."

Cullen's fists tighten. Loor quickly walks  up to Cullen and touches his shoulders, causing him to relax.

" Cullen, excuse yourself. And if you must you can try to find Erin." 

Loor smirks at Cullen who does the same. Quickly he turns and walks out of the room leaving Balthazar and Loor alone both watching the door slowly closing until it clicks shut.  Walking down the corridors Cullen stops Cedar and pulls him aside.

whispering. " Lucifer, have you seen Erin yet?"

Lucifer smacks Cullen right upside the head which makes Cullen yelp out in pain.

"OW! what the hell?"

He grabs Cullen by the shirt." Don't say my real name outloud you idiot! or we'll get caught for sure!"

cullen nods. " Alright, fine. But you didn't answer my question!"

" Well of course I saw her not to mention that I saw Gale too! He's diffidently going to make our plans a little harder.....But still, she looked like happiness came back to her....just like before."

Cullen rolls his eyes." Yeah, I get that you had a thing for her, but that's not the point! where is she right now so I can greet her myself."

" She's in her room. Anyways, I need to get back to work or this will seem fishy to someone. And remember my name is Cedar!"
