Chapter Seventeen

The whole morning I spent in my bed healing.....changing back in and out of my form took a physical toll on me.......my head is bandaged but I can function alright.....but a pain still aches my heart. Zayba stayed in my room for the night because of what happened to Josh......Cullen is in the care of the royal doctor....of course his actions will be hard to forgive but he did save my life. That I can forgive. Gale sits in my room only a cut on his cheek and on his arm. He smiles at me and I smile softly at him, but he knows I'm still upset.

The castle is quiet......everything seems lifeless. We all go to see Josh before we prepared his body, but as we entered the ballroom area I see a woman sitting prestige in a chair, she has blonde hair with white eyes......I had a feeling that she was diffidently  no vampire...... My parents stand up and welcome us to greet her.

Gale walks into the room and kneels before the woman. " Mother? what are you doing here?"

She glances up and stands, walking to Gale. " I came to see Erin."

My eyes shoot wide open.....this is the Queen of the Angel's, she works with God!  such a high honor ! I quickly bow to her, she does the same to me.

" Now my child......why are you so upset?"

I glance at her. Such a peaceful radiance and her voice was a soft tone.

" Well, your grace......I lost a dear friend who was close to all of us, last night....."  My eyes start to water but I hold it back.

" I'm sorry to hear that......but If you would like to know I came here because of that reason....you see I met a young man named Joshua who said that he was protecting you from my eldest son Luke."

I lean forward looking at Zayba and Gale who seem overjoyed. " Well that's wonderful news to hear!"

" she stands, Yes....and in fact I pulled some strings......." she yells towards the other doors. " Joshua, Cedar you may enter."

As she said the names I was unsure of cedar, considering how I thought I was meeting him and it wasn't really him.....but he looked a little different. He walks in wearing a white suit and in walks Josh his hair is brown with some grey and white streaks, he smiles and looks alive and well. All of us run to him holding him close. I cry hysterically and he does the same holding Zayba and I close. Gale shakes his hand and smiles.

" Well I must say.....white looks good on you." Gale smirks.

Josh stares at all of us then at Gale. " Yeah. I'm glad I found your mother....Otherwise I don't know what I wouldv'e done exactly."

The queen touches his shoulder. " I'm pleased to say that Josh is to be your new Guardian, He will not only watch over you but he will watch over your future child and his sister and her child as well......I big job to fill, but I have faith in him." she smiles softly.

I smile too. Things couldn't be any better then it is now, Gale touches my shoulder and I place a hand on his hand.

Josh smiles softly and slowly walks up to me embracing me. " Be happy, and choose Gale. I won't mind....." he looks at Gale. " He's a nice guy anyways, and besides who knows I might be able to shag-"

the queen looks at Josh wide eyed. quickly he corrects himself. " I mean, share the holy gospel with any of the guardian woman up there.......and Erin......some other people wanted to meet you."

He turns around and I see five people walking up to me in white, one couple must be Josh and Zayba's parents, the other couple is Clark and May and the young boy who smiles big is Marcus.

Zayba and I run to the people. I kind of feel bad for making Marcus wait last but Clark and May were my parents. I hug them tight as tears that i've kept in for so long come flowing out of my eyes, stinging and my body shakes from crying so hard.

Clark's deep voice  chimed against my chest. " There, there. How's my little girl doing?"

I smile up at him with tears in my eyes. " Just great! Oh gosh how much I've missed you guys!"

May and Clark hug me tightly and  stroke my hair. I smile brightly, then remembering Marcus I run to hug him and he picks me up in a spin hug and hugs me tightly. I laugh out loud which makes everyone smile. Gale stares at Marcus and I with a concerned look but he starts to blush when I look at him.

Marcus caresses and kisses my cheek  which causes me to blush.

" Your so beautiful! I'm glad you stayed alive for my sake.....otherwise I wouldn't get to see you like you are now."

I hold Marcus close to me. " I've missed you so much!" I glance up at the three of them. " I've missed you all so much.....I thought that I was alone, that I caused everyone to die.....I felt forgotten...but then...." I walk to Gale who hugs me. "I've found someone else who has remembered me and has saved me just like Josh....." I wink at him. "countless times and I will never forget it..."

Everyone hugs one last time laughing and smiling, I walk to my mother and father and pull them towards Clark and May.

" well hello, and welcome." all of the figures bowed before them and I start to snicker.

" Mother, Father....I'd like to introduce you to some people who saved me. Giving me the strength to survive...." I walk to Clark and May. " This man and woman saved me from the laboratory and raised me." Loor and Balthazar hug both people who are shocked until Loor speaks....." You saved our child and for that we will forever be grateful."

I pull my mother towards Marcus....." and this is a really good friend of my from my child hood.....his name is Marcus." She raises an eyebrow smiling at me, Marcus begins to flirt with my mother like he would anyways, Balthazar begins to feel protective.

Everyone spoke for a little longer until it was time for them to leave. I was unsure to let go of Josh but he reassured me like he always did. He always had a way of keeping me calm and happy....i'm going to miss it....

" Don't worry......I"m not completely gone! remember I'm a guardian so if you need me or if I just want to talk to me I can come and go."

Cedar grabs him by the shoulder....."Except for now.....we really must finish getting you admitted Joshua. Erin it was a pleasure to finally meet you....and Gale stay fresh!" he winks at Gale as he laughs.

They all disappear as we all yell goodbye and thank you's. I smile at Gale and he smiles at me.....My parents look at eachother with surprised looks, looking at Queen Aurora then at us too. We all know what needs to happen next, and I know that i'm making the right choice.
