Chapter Thirteen

My eyelids weigh heavy on my eyes, but the fear of sleeping is only half the problems that I'm facing at the moment. What happened last night still haunts my memories, the fact that Cedar.....was really Lucifer and I.....I started to fall for him.....I even kissed him! That's what really gets to me....the fact that he nor I could hold back what we were really feeling and now its caused me to become verily ill in the process. The thoughts spin around my head to the point that it pounds against my skull wanting to come out, that's when the severe realization came to me.....Gale and not anyone else knows Lucifer and I kissed last night......except us. Will he use this as an advantage against me in anyway?

I exhale exhausted, until I smile silently at gale who is searching on the computer screen for different medicines to help stop the venom from going any further into my body. He rubs his eyes vigorously as he stares at the computer screen, its light reflecting against his white skin. Slowly I sit up and I start to get out of bed because I had to pee really bad, of course I didn't think it enough through so my legs fell right  underneath me causing me to hit my head hard on the wood floor. Gale stands up almost knocking over  the chair and sprints over to help me up.

He sighs out loud. " What on earth are you doing out of bed?"

I try to say something forgetting that my voice is gone, that is until we get it fixed, so I can only huff out air and raise an eyebrow at him.

" Look, I understand that it's hard to sit still. But you have to be patient and get rest......you only have so much energy...."

His blue eyes stare into mine with intensity and a serious content to it. I nod so he understands that I know....then I start to point towards my bathroom. He raises an eyebrow with a confused look until he slowly gets it.

" Oh! You.....well this is awkward......here let me help you...." he says sheepishly.

I roll my eyes as we both hobble towards the bathroom, we reach the sink and I stop him there, quickly He nods and walks out of the room. It's not that him protecting me was much of a problem.....but when it comes to personal needs......it was just to much at once. I finish up in the bathroom and look at my neck to see that its wrapped up from gale, just at the touch of it you could tell it was still a fresh wound that was diffidently sore! I cringe at the pain that sends a sharp shock  from my neck up.

Sometimes I feel like anywhere I go i'm just not meant to be there.......I either lose someone or get them killed because of me.......it's all my fault......i'm a bad omen....i'm nothing.... a knock at the bathroom door sends a chill down my spin. It's silent for a moment until a calm voice came through the door. " Erin? can Balthazar and I speak with you?" I quickly hobble over towards the door and open it wide so I could see them, their expression showed fear towards my injury. Loor is almost mortified to the point that all she can do is shed tears without a sound, Balthazar tenses up his eyes flickered a different color but returned to normal in an instant.

Slowly he puts his hand out, " I would like to apologize for my rude remark yesterday...."  I grab for his hand and his eyes widen a little. Right then and there it felt as though we had a strong connection that iv'e never felt with anyone else, it wasn't romance love necessarily but at the most love and peace from a father that iv'e so longed for. Slowly we make it to my bed and I lay down catching my breath, Balthazar and Loor sit on the bed holding both my hands and squeezing tightly.

He takes in a sharp breath before speaking again. " Erin......when I saw you.....I just didn't think that my little girl......could turn into a beautiful young woman. And it's been hard to realize that but now I know that you are my daughter....you are my blood...." Balthazar starts to tear up and so do I. " I ask for your forgiveness and that you accept me as your true father.....if you'll have me...."
