Chapter 33. (Bad Idea.)

[Liam Payne's Office. 2:10pm.]

Harry : (peeks through door) "Liam can I talk to you for a minute?"

Liam : (to person on the phone) "I'll call you back" (hangs up phone) "sure Harry come in"

Harry : (closes door and sits on the chair opposite Liam) "I actually wanted to ask a favour"

Liam : "anything tell me what is it?"

Harry : "well..I was wondering if.."

Liam : "yes?"

Harry : "I was wondering if I could leave a little early today?"

Liam : "well Josh is not out today and the store is packed, Niall might need help in his section. May I ask why you need to leave early?"

Harry : "I kind of have..a date and he's supposed to pick me up by six"

Liam : "oh a date! That's wonderful Harry"

Harry : (shy) "I guess"

Liam : "so who is he? Do I know him?"

Harry : (fiddles with fingers) "yeah it's uh..it's Louis"

Liam : (eyes widen) "L-Louis?"

Harry : "yeah"

Liam : "wow okay and he's really taking you out on a date?"

Harry : "well we were supposed to go to a restaurant but he's taking me to a family dinner"

Liam : (drags chair out and stands startling Harry) "he carrying you to meet his family?"

Harry : (leans back further away from Liam) "is that bad?"

Liam : (runs hands through hair) "fuck!" (realizes Harry is scared) (clears throat) "sorry for my language Harry this is just..unreal"

Harry : (relaxes) "it's okay I didn't really believe it myself to be honest"

Liam : "you're meeting his family?"

Harry : "that's what he said"

Liam : "I have known him for two years and I didn't even know Eleanor was his sister"

Harry : (frowns) "I'm sorry"

Liam : "no don't be it's not your fault"

Harry : "can I go?"

Liam : (snaps out of daze) "w-what? Yeah I'm sorry yes you may go"

Harry : "thanks Liam!"

Liam : "yeah sure"

Scene 2.
[Louis' Flat. 3:49pm.]

Louis sets his phone on speaker and puts it on his dresser and goes over to his closet. Ruffling through racks and racks of clothes.

Niall : "I can't believe this!"

Louis : "it's not that big of a deal"

Niall : "what?! This date is finally happening! He's meeting Jo that's a huge deal tommo"

Louis : "if it was up to me he wouldn't see the inside of the dreaded house but I'm only doing this for El and Oli"

Niall : "sure sure but I can tell you're excited for him to be there as well"

Louis : (sarcastic) "I've always admired your psychic abilities" (picks up a red and white vans t shirt) (to himself) "that should do"

Niall : "what's that?"

Louis : "nothing I was just picking out something to wear"

Niall : "send me a picture so I can approve"

Louis : (scuffs) "no"

Niall : "oh come on! I want to see"

Louis : "alright fine give me a minute" (walks over and spreads the t shirt on the bed together with a black jeans) (snaps pic and sends it to niall) (puts phone back on speaker) "did you get it?"

Niall : "Louis that's your get laid outfit you cheeky bastard"

Louis : "what?"

Niall : "that t shirt wasn't it the same one you wore at Garet's party and I caught that blond muscle bloke fisting you in the bathroom?"

Louis : "I don't know what you're talking about and just for the record never repeat that"

Niall : "I've seen worse Louis"

Louis : "I don't even want to know"

Niall : "most of those experiences involve you"

Louis : "okay Niall that's enough I have to get ready"

Niall : "tell me again why I can't come?"

Louis : "I just don't want you there"

Niall : "I'll third wheel of course"

Louis : "you know the more you say shit like that the more I'm convinced this isn't a date"

Niall : "but it is"

Louis : "a pity one"

Niall : "keeping telling yourself that"

Louis : (rolls eyes and picks phone up) "bye Niall" (ends call) (to himself) "this is a bad idea"
