Chapter 36. (Hey Angel.)

Harry shifts and feels crowded and stuck.  He blinks awake and looks around to see he's on the floor with Phoebe and Daisy sleeping under his arms. He smiles and carefully shift to stand. He hears rustling in the kitchen and enters.

Jo : "Oh Harry! Good morning love I was just fixing breakfast sit"

Harry : (rubs eyes) "I fell asleep on the floor"

Jo : "that you did the twins could be a handful sometimes but they really like you"

Harry : "they are lovely"

Jo : (turns and places a plate full of food in front Harry) "eat up"

Harry : "uh I'd like to but my.. (gestures to mouth)

Jo : "of course. Louis has extra toothbrushes upstairs in his room. The guest bathroom is right down the hall from his room. While you're at it can you wake Lou and tell him his tea is ready?" 

Harry : "sure"

Walks up the stairs and enters Louis' room to see him still sound sleeping. Harry just stands and stares at Louis with a fond smile on his face. He inches closer to move the fringe off Louis' face. He hums and shifts smiling.

Harry : "Hey Angel"

Louis : (gasp) "Wh-What? (blinks eyes) "Harry! What the fuck are you doing in my room?" (hides bare chest with duvet)

Harry : "your mo- Jo said to wake you"

Louis : "get out!"

Harry : "I'm sorry"

Louis : (throws pillow towards Harry) "Go!"

Back downstairs Harry still hasn't brushed his teeth but descending the stairs he hears murmurs coming from the kitchen. He feels guilty eavesdropping but the voice only grows louder making it difficult to zone out. He hides behind the kitchen door.

Jo : "I'm just saying he seems to really like Louis"

Dan : "you are just so naive that's what you said about the thug"

Jo : "darling his name is Zayn"

Dan : "I don't really care now do I? He cost Louis everything we ever worked for. He could have been the next beckham by now"

Jo : "please don't do this I haven't seem him in over a year I really do not want you fighting with him. I will never see again"

Dan : "I just want to know what his priorities are and if he intends to work at that run down store for the rest of his life"

Jo : "the job pays well he told me he was acting manager now"

Dan : "oh please"

Jo : "what?"

Dan : "don't sit here and tell me this is what makes him happy. He can tell me that story over and over and I'll never believe him. I know he belongs on that field"

Jo : "don't interfere"

Dan : "I just need to know a few things that's all. Besides is this new toy of his permanent?"

Jo : "Harry"

Dan : "I must say he seems to have good intentions"

Jo : "the girls like him and I'm certainty keen to him. He's handsome and Louis seems happier"

Dan : "I should go talk to him"

Jo : "please don't petrify the poor boy. He's just getting to know us"

Dan : "I'm hardly petrifying sweetie"

Someone taps Harry's shoulder and he gasps and almost falls over in shock.

Harry : "fuck!"

Louis : "what are you doing hiding?"

Harry : "you scared me" (pauses) "I..uh..I was..lost?"

Louis : (suspicious) "whatever. Move I want breakfast"

Harry : (eyes widen) "No wait don't go in the-"

Louis : (furrows eyebrows) "why are you so fucking weird?"

Harry : "uh please Louis I need to use the bathroom. It's an emergency!"

Louis : "well get to it don't just stand there"

Harry : "can you come with me? I'm scared"

Louis : "of what?"

Harry : (soft) "monsters"

Louis : "what are you five?"

Harry : (serious) "I'm six actually"

Louis : (giggles) "alright frog lets go"

Harry : (sighs relief) "okay" (smiles)
