Ryan's POV:

I skated back and forth infront of the main entrance of the skating area, my eyes continously fell on the park ahead. It's still empty. There's nobody. It's 8 p.m. and Jen had still not arrived, I was hoping for her to come. She's not here today and neither did she come yesterday.

"Oi Ryan!" Erick shouted from the arc behind me.

I turned around and looked at them. He was standing there with his skateboard held by his feet.

"Can I get a pack?" I slipped out a pack of cigarette from my pocket, took one out for myself and threw the packet to Erick who caught it easily.

"If you're missing her so much then just call her. You already have her number." Dan recommended and I looked at him in annoyance.

"I am not missing anyone." I said and took off and skateboarded ed in circles around the lads. I sucked on the cigarette and pulled it out, exhaling the wonderous smoke. There was just something about the taste of the smoke. It wasn't exactly tasty but I found myself yearning for more.

"She's here." Alec said, as always monotonously.

My head immediately snapped to look at the park, to look at her. But, there was nobody. Alec walked over to a bench, smirked to himself and lit his cigarette. That asshole.

"Not missing anyone, eh?" Erick grinned and nudged me in the shoulder childishly.

"Dude! I don't like her or anything! I'm just acting like I do!" I reminded him.

All the lads frowned and Alec took out the cigarette from his mouth, giving me all his attention.

"What?! You're playing with her?" Dan asked in surprise. What? They were actually expecting me to fall in love?

"Dude don't! This is Jen! It was fine in other cases but not her. She's way too sweet." Erick said. I kept my poker face on and looked at him.

"Do I look like I care?"

"She loves you, Ryan." Dan reminded me.

I rolled my eyes and chuckled.

"They all do."

"She loves you enough to give her life for you. Do they all do that?" Alec asked.

No. That was my answer. As if Alec had read my thoughts, he silently said to himself "They don't."

Everyone went disturbingly silent. Alec was again lost in his own world whereas Erick and Dan were eyeing me murderously, telepathically telling me to stop whatever games I was playing.

"By the way, she's here." Alec pointed to a tiny dark figure walking in the park. Instead of turning right and heading over to us, I saw Jen walk to the tree. I ignored them all and walked down the stairs and toward the tree. She doesn't want me to smoke so I sucked on heavily on the cigarette one last time and threw it on the floor. I let out the smoke, breathed in night air and stood behind the tree. As the cheeky dude that I am, I slipped my arms around the tree trunk and placed it lightly on Jen's neck.

Jen's POV:

I sat cross legged on the familiar grass, under the tree at night and stared at the road ahead of me. This place looks quiet and kind of creey at midnight, nonetheless it's much better than spending some more time with that Ryan. He thinks that I like him because I spend more time with him than I do with Finn. I have to admit but that was the stupidest reason I have ever heard in my entire life.
