"OMG! Jen! Look at this!" Melchie practically shouted. I thanked God, for the billionth time that the store wasn't packed with customers.

"Why are you shouting?!" I glared at her.

"Sorry, couldn't control myself. Look at this!" She wiggled a white dress in her hand.

It was pretty, cream in colour with it's lacey sleeves and it had a little ruffles at the bottom. It was beautiful, but I'd rather wear my usual jeans and shirt.

"It's nice." I started to put it back in the rack when Melchie stopped me.

"If it's nice then why don't you try it on?" She looked at me in annoyance. I couldn't blame her. We went to a handful of shops and I didn't try on anything which is a little irksome. I can understand.

"I don't like these kind of things." I whined as she pushed me hard into the changing room.

"Wear it!" She demanded and closed the door in my face.

I sighed loudly to show her my exasperation.

After I tried it on, I looked at myself in the mirror. I don't look half bad. The dress made me look pretty. I looked like the girls you would see on WeHeartIt wearing pretty dresses.

I got out of the changing room and stood infront of Melchie waiting for her to judge the dress on me.

"Jen! You look great!" She exclaimed and I smiled. I turned around and looked at the mirror behind me. I actually love the dress. It looked so classy and I loved the laced sleeves.

My eyes flew off of my reflection to someone else's as a guy appeared in the mirror followed by a beautiful smile. It was Ryan, standing out of the shop with his head poking out to gaze at me.

He gave me thumbs up and a big grin. I smiled to myself and looked back at myself.

"Jen! Jen! Jen! Try this one!" Melchie rushed up to me with a few clothes. Instantly, Ryan disappeared and hid himself behind the glass wall.

I looked back at her in surprise, hoping that she does not see him. She was holding a white, cropped tank top with 'hope' written on it beautifully and a pair of multi-coloured patterned shorts.

I ignored Ryan's presence and took the clothes from Melchie and entered the changing room again.

Ok, the shorts, well they're too short, for me and the tank top was too revealing as my stomach was exposed, making me feel extremely uncomfortable and flashy.

I got out of the changing room with my arms covering my naked stomach. I headed to another mirror on the other corner of the store so that Ryan doesn't see me, or I don't see him.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror and well the clothes, they were not bad. They looked awesome on me but they are just not my type.

"Jen." I turned around at Melchie who was going through a stack of clothes.

"Your phone." She eyed my phone resting on the sofa. There was an incoming call and the number was withheld.

"Hello?" I picked up the call as I checked myself out again in the mirror.

"Man! Did the weather get hot all of a sudden?!"

I rolled my eyes and covered my stomach with my free arm knowing that Ryan is looking at me from here somewhere.

"Ryan, can you just leave me alone?"

"You know, I've heard somewhere that a guy should always do exactly the opposite of what a girl says, so . . . I'm gonna stay right here. But if you want to, I can be right next to you." I turned around in irritation to glare at him and there he was, staring at me through the windows. He smiled and winked at me and I turned my back to him again.
