I laid on my bed and cluthced my blanket in hands and I wiped my nose soundlessly.
I got drunk.
I kissed someone.
I kissed Ryan.
For the past year, I had expected Finn, and only Finn, to kiss me. Yet, my life took a drastic turn and look what had happened. I wiped the tears from my eyes for the billionth time.
I had told myself that I was drunk, so what happened last night doesn't count as a kiss. However, I was fully conscious when we kissed yesterday, here in my room.
What had happened to me? I knew he was going to kiss me and I even had the time to reject him, but I didn't. Why didn't I? Since when did I become so stupid?
"Aye Jen! Where's your bag? The black one with the peace sign-" Silver entered my room without knocking. I didn't have any energy left in me to remind her that she should respect my privacy or to hide away my misery so I decided not to argue with her or even put some effort to smile.
"Jen? Is everything ok?" Silver looked at me and asked. She sat next to me on my bed and tugged the blanket to reveal my face.
"I got drunk last night." I confessed and Silver's lips twitched up in a proud grin.
Before she could say anything, I cut her off.
"-and I kissed Ryan."
"Really?! That is so cute!" She squealed.
"That's not! I shouldn't have kissed him!" I groaned.
"Why shouldn't have you?"
"Because I like Finn, not Ryan!"
"Oh, God! You can't be still into Finn! Jen, just look at that guy! He's been doing so much to make you happy! Why the fuck can't you see that?!" She asked me, annoyed.
She sighed and continued.
"He's teaching you French, he's teaching you how to skateboard. He took you to the party with him and brought you back safe and sound. He was with you when you had that accident. He bought this thing for you when you guys had the stupid argument." She said and pointed at the Eiffel Tower necklace that was resting on my chest.
"Does he behave the same way with other girls at school?"
I shook my head slightly.
"You're running after that Finn who might have no idea that you're in love with him but you're practically ignoring Ryan who actually loves you! Don't be a bitch and move on with Ryan!" She said, giving me a look that said 'You're an idiot.'
"Now stop crying will ya." I gave her a smile. She got up and left to give me some time to think over what she had just said, and she took my bag along with her, without asking as usual.
I kissed Ryan. I kissed someone for the first time in my life! I laid back on my bed again and ran my fingers over the 3-D Eiffel Tower resting on my chest.
I actually love him. I can't believe I actually said that. I grabbed my mobile and called Melchie.
"Hey Jen! What's up?" Melchie's voice answered slowly seconds later.
"I think I like someone." I said slowly into the phone, smiling like a fool at myself.
"The new kid?" I could hear Melchie's rise in interest in voice.
"Yeah."
There was a shout of happiness then Melchie said
"OMG! Jen finally! When are you going to tell him?!" She asked delightfully.
