a time to muster kind words
we never say
tis the season to be jolly,
and deck your halls
with boughs of holly,
pull down your walls
and let love in,
it's time for the good
to finally win
forget and forgive,
and smile more often,
it's time to actually live
so climb out of your coffin
put up your tree,
string up those lights,
have eggnog with me,
we can talk all night
the best gift of the season
is stay a bit longer
discard all those reasons
to stop getting stronger
let's move on from the old year
and bring in the new
let's wipe away old tears
and stop feeling blue
just for a little bit,
just for the holidays
i know sadness is habit,
but you know what they say
that christmastime
is a different time
it's meant to be filled with laughter and joy
so get your reindeer
