The story of my life: reinvented

Chapter six

The next morning, we all woke up to screaming. We ran downstairs and saw Katelynn getting attacked by a walker. I ran towards her and punched it in the face, but harder than I ever have before. I knocked it out. What happened to me when I was sleeping? Everyone looked at me with astonishment, and I looked at my hands. They were red, like firey red. I walked over to a coffee mug and I crushed it with one hand. Then a voice appeared. The same voice that gave us our powers.
Voice: I am very impressed with your performance so far. So I have given each of you one more power. Enjoy them.
Then an explosion happened inside the house. It blew everyone apart from each other. Suddenly, everybody had another power.
Kat: What the fuck just happened?
Rach: I don't fucking know but this awesome!!
Rachel now had the ability to read minds, which means she could read Austin's mind as well. I could see her face go from happy to disgusted. Jacob had the ability to make weapons out of any kind of light we wanted. He made a m-14, ak-47, and a grenade launcher all from one lamp.
Jacob: This is fucking awesome!!!!
Arianna was able to speak to animals and read their minds. She went outside and all kinds of animals were around her, like they were protecting her. Austin had the ability to act as a shield around his friends. If we we're in trouble, he was able to make a force field around us so the enemy couldn't reach us. And Katelynn was able to control the elements: Fire, water, earth,  and air. She went out front and broke the cement apart until there was a ginormous crack in the ground. She lifted fire and water out of it, and made it collide. I still had one question as I looked around at my friends. Why did I get my second set of powers before anyone else?
We all gathered back in the living room and discussed the task at hand.
Rach: You guys, I think it's time for us to find our parents.
Zek: I agree.
Ari: I do too.
Austin: Same here.
Kat: Okay, pack everything up and grab what you need, not what you want.
At around 9:30, we were on the road again.
A couple hours passed and we were exhausted, so we sat down next to a lamp post. We were passing the water around when something came up behind me. I could feel they're body heat. I turned and stood up and pointed a gun at it. Everyone was alarmed. They were all aiming at it, or should I say him. It was dalton. But before I could do anything, Ari pushed passed me and hugged the shit out of him. He did the same back.
Kat: WHAT THE FUCK DALTON!!!??? You scared the shit out of me!!!!
Zek: Babe, calm down.
I looked at zek with anger and pointed the gun at him.
Kat: NEVER TELL ME TO FUCKING CALM DOWN!!!!!
He walked toward me slowly and reached out.
Zek: Babe, put the gun down. Please.
I just kept staring at him, but I could feel everyone staring at me with shock. I dropped the gun and fell to the floor, bursting in tears. Zek just sat next to me trying to comfort me, but it wasn't working. So Arianna decided to give it a try, but it still didn't work. I had my mind focused on something else when they were talking to me. Then Jacob tried, and he actually got through to me. But not enough to where I was alright in the head if you know what I mean. Then Rachel tried, and she did it. She said all the right things to me and was able to relate because she's been through the this type of shit before. She helped me up, and we were on our way again.
