Chapter twelve

Zek got out of the car and went around to the front of the van, then the back. Then he came back to the front of the car and gave us a sign that everything is good. But then something attacked him. It didn't look like a mutant at all, it looked like a demon. Something that looked supernatural. It looked human, but not human. He tried to throw it off but it didn't work. I ran out, followed by everyone else. I punched it off of him and it let go. We helped Zek back into the van, and I was following closely behind but it got ahold of me. It latched onto me with its claws and it hurt like a bitch. I tried to throw it off but its claws were so deep, I couldn't. Austin came back out and pushed it off me. He helped back me inside the van and I saw Zek laying on the couch. Even though I was light headed, I ran over to him.
Katie: Omg!! Zek!!! Are you okay!?
Zek: I'm fine Katie, what about you?
I had a scratch on my arm and a bite on my neck. He looked at me and he jumped up.
Katie: I'm fine, I... Am..
I passed out.
Zek's perspective:
She passed out right before my eyes. I caught her before she hit the floor and put her head on my lap. Everyone got up and ran over to me and her. They all looked at her and then me.
Rachel: What happened?
Zek: I don't know, she just passed out. I think she got bit by the demon thingy.
Arianna: Is she gonna be okay?
Zek: I hope so. Jacob, can you heal the scratch and the bite?
Jacob: Of course I can.
He pushed the healing powers towards the scratch, and it healed. Then he did the same for the bite, but it didn't work. It started to swell. Then something happened to her, something that was unnatural. She got taller, she grew fangs, and she turned pale white. We were all very confused. She just lay there, asleep, still breathing, but asleep. She looked so beautiful. I kissed her forehead and she woke up with a start.
Katie: What's going on?
We all looked at her with worry. Arianna handed her a mirror. She looked at herself for a couple of minutes in shock.
Katie: What happened to me?
Zek: Do you remember how you got that bite on your neck?
Katie: Yea...
Rachel: We think it made you immortal...
Katie: Immortal? How?
Katelynn: We don't know.
Austin: It was a vampire.
We all looked at Austin. He was sitting in one of the recliners, and he had scratches all over his face, and his arm was bleeding. Katie got up, walked over to him, and squatted. She looked at his face and his arm.
Katie: Jacob?
Jacob walked over to them and started to heal his wounds when Austin stopped him.
Austin: No! I don't need it, I'm fine.
Katie: Yes you do. Jacob, keep going. I'll hold him down.
Austin tried to escape with all his might but she kept him from doing anything. Jacob healed all his wounds and Katie let go. He got up in rage, but didn't punch Katie or Jacob. Instead he punched the wall and it made a hole. Katie just walked back over to me and sat next to me.
Katie: I'm sorry.
Zek: For what?
Katie: For being a bitch and freaking out like that when I found out.
Zek: It's okay, I'm just glad you're not hurt.
Katie: Thanks zek, and... If you don't wanna start over, I completely understand. But do you wanna get back together? I'd rather not die alone.
Zek: Of course Katie, if you do.
Katie: I honestly do.
Zek: Good.
She put her head on my shoulder. I was the happiest guy in the world to have my princess back.
Rachel was looking at us with a smile on her face.
Rachel: Okay babe, let's go.
Then something started to shake the van.
There were mutants, vampires, zombies, and ogres outside the van.
Arthur: Jacob, step on it!!
Jacob stepped on the acceleration and we ran over a lot of them. We were going so fast that the van was shaking on its own. Katie was on the couch sleeping and I went over and lied next to her. She was so cold, but she wasn't shaking. I wrapped my arms around her and she got closer to me. Moments later, I was asleep.
Jacob's perspective:
Jacob: Austin, it's your turn to drive.
Austin: Okay.
I woke him up from his nap and he got up and came to the driver's seat. I got up and walked over to where Rachel was. She was looking in the fridge for something to eat and I went up behind her and put my arms around her. It scared the crap out of her. She turned around and hugged me. I put my fingers on her chin so that she was looking up at me. I kissed her and hugged her tightly.
Jacob: Are you okay babe?
Rachel: Yea, I'm fine.
Jacob: Good. Let's get some sleep.
Rachel: Can I eat something first?
We both laugh.
Jacob: Yea.
So Rachel got some food, ate, and then fell asleep in my arms.
