Chapter two

We headed to Jacobs house which was only a block away. When we got there we busted the door open to find his parents lying on the floor. Rachel went upstairs to get Jacob and I checked to see if his parents were okay. It turns out they were attacked by the same creature that I shot in the head. I recognized the bite marks.
Rachel's perspective:
I went upstairs to Jacobs room and he was still asleep. I shook him awake and he woke up with a start.
R: Babe, are you okay?
J: Yea, I'm fine. What's going on?
R: We don't know, but we gotta hurry if we're gonna make it out of this alive.
J: Okay, wait... Where are my parents?
I just stood there looking at Jacob, not knowing how to tell him.
R: Babe, you're parents are downstairs and I think they got attacked by a weird, mutated animal. Just get dressed and grab all the weapons you have okay babe?
J: "Okay", he said trying not to cry.
I went back downstairs and Katie told me the bad news. Jacob came down with a dagger, shotgun, and rifle and saw them on the ground. He walked up to them and took a knee. Then he got up and turned toward me and Katie.
J: There's nothing we can do, let's go.
K: Where to?
R: What about the others? We still haven't found them...
J: Do either of you have phone service?
R: Nope.
K: I do, but very little.
J: Call zek and tell him to get as many weapons as he can and head over to Austin's house. In the meantime, we're gonna go to Arianna's house.
Katie's perspective:
(Phone ringing)
Someone picks up.
K: Babe? Are you okay?
Z: Yea, I'm good.
K: Okay good. Listen to me, get all the weapons you can find and head over to Austin's house. After that, head to Arianna's house. But please be careful okay?
Z: I will babe, I promise.
The phone signal drops.
K: Which way does Arianna live?
R: I think she lives north from here.
J: Okay, let's go.
As we head north, we run into all kinds of mutated creatures, shooting them as we go. It was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen in my life. When we got to her house, Jacob kicked the door open. It was silent, almost too silent. I went down the hall to her room, while Jacob and Rachel scoped out the house. Then I heard yelling and snarling noises. Then a gun shot. Jacob had shot another mutated creature. It looked like one of the mutated tigers. I went down the hall again and turned left to where her room was.
I opened the door and she was lying there unconscious, but still breathing.
K: Jacob!!!
J: What!?
K: Help me!!
Jacob ran into the room and carried Arianna out. I followed closely behind them and Rachel was upfront. All of a sudden I hear screaming. Rachel was being attacked by another mutated creature.
K: Take this you son of a bitch!
I shot the creature in the head and it fell to the floor. Rachel looked at me with relief. We went out the door to find zek and Austin standing outside Arianna's house. I ran up to zek and he picked me up and spun me around. Then I gave Austin a hug and Rachel did the same.
K: I'm so glad you're both okay.
Z: I'm glad I found you all.
A: Same here.
Z: Yea, with my help of course.
A: Okay, but I knew where Arianna's house was.
R: Okay, enough you two. We need to find everyone else.
J: But how?
Just as Jacob said that, Arianna woke up.
