Adopted by Felix and Marzia

Adopted

"So how was it?" The social worker asked.

"They're nice. I like them." I replied.

"Your not one of many words are you?" She looked at me puzzled. "Anyway, would you like me to organise another day out with them?"

"Yeah." I sloped off back to my room and lay down on my bed. I had a dream about Felix and Marzia being my real parents. We were so happy together.

I met up with them again at the weekend. We went to a games museum, it was so cool! Felix loved looking at all of the old games and me and Marzia loved the giant hall of Mario games. Afterwards, Felix bought me a Nintendo 3DS game and Marzia bought me and herself a Mario Cart plush. They were so kind.

"Well, I've had a lovely time!" Marzia said.

"Me toooo." Felix put his arm around Marzia "It has been really nice to see you again Ellie. You know we really like you."

"Yeah, I really like you too." I smiled and couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day. They really were amazing.

Two months later I was told the good news by my social worker. "So, I've finished talking to Felix and Marzia..."

"And?!"

"They would like to adopt you! What do you say?"

"YES! Oh my goodness. Thank you so much!" I rushed over to hug her and ran downstairs to my new mum and dad.

"Hey! We haven't seen you in a while, how ya doin'?" Felix asked me. He had his arms outstretched ready for my hug.

"I'm great thanks! You?" At this point I was hugging Marzia.

"Yeah, we're good!" Felix replied.
