This week I had to go to school. I was dreading it. I have moved schools in the past but this time I know that I will have to stay.

"Are you ready?" Marzia asked me. I was standing at the front door, double checking in my head that I had everything.

"Yes. I think so." I took in a deep breath and Marzia kissed me on the top of my head.

Felix came into the room and hugged me. "Good luck, Ellie."

I smiled and left the house.

I was walking down the drive when I noticed someone walking behind me. I turned to see who it was. It was Sam. I sighed and walked faster, not wanting to talk to him because I wasn't in the mood.

"Ellie! Wait up!"

This made me walk even faster.

"Hold on Ellie!" I heard him start to run. "Hi! How's Pewds and Marzia? Oh I saw your video that Kalel uploaded! It was great!"

Oh no. I glanced at his school uniform to see if he was going to the same school as me. I stopped dead in my tracks. "Don't you say a word about me or my parents or my new friends or my house or YouTube at school! Got it?" I was being harsh... but imagine a whole load of Sams swarming around me at school. I just want to seem normal.

Sam looked like he was about to cry. I did feel bad but I just carried on walking. When I got to school, I signed in at reception. The lady gave me a map and a timetable and then took me to my first class. It was art, one of my favourite lessons! I was there before anyone else so I found a seat and got my equipment out. A teacher with blonde, short hair appeared from the store room.

"Hi, my name's Miss Brown. What's yours?" She seemed quite friendly.

"Erm... Ellie." I said shyly.

"Well, Ellie, I think you'll enjoy art lessons." She walked over to me with a stack of paper. "Here, have a few pieces. You can draw what ever you want."

What ever I want? I couldn't think of anything. Maybe I should draw my house... and if anyone asks me, I can just say it's not my house.

I had sketched the outline and just started to add the windows in when pupils started to flood into the classroom. A girl with brown, waist length hair stood right next to me.

"You are in my seat!" I looked up at her and she had her hand on her hip, waiting for me to move. I didn't move.

"Move!" She shouted. I didn't move. Miss Brown came into the room and told this girl off for shouting. "Go and find another seat, Millie!"

Millie took her things to the other side of the room and glared at me. I couldn't help feel a bit smug. The two people sat next to me didn't say a word to me for the whole lesson. I was a bit lonely but I didn't really mind.

When the bell rung, I put my work in the tray at the front of the room and left. I wasn't quite sure where to go so I just had a look around the building. I was walking along a corridor when I turned the corner and bumped into Millie. Oh no.

"What do you think you are doing?!" She shouted in my face. I cowered away but she grabbed my shoulder in a surprisingly strong grip. "Don't you ever touch me again. Stay away." She said firmly. She pushed me away with such force that I fell to the ground. Millie and her 'gang' walked away from me and I took a second to process what was happening. I stood, brushed myself off and headed to the toilets.

I ran in and locked myself in a cubicle. I couldn't hold in the sobs for any longer.

"Are you ok?" A soft voice asked from outside the cubicle. I wiped my eyes and answered.

"Yeah... yeah I'm fine." I took a deep breath and opened the door. A girl wearing a bear hat over her long brown hair was staring at me.

"Oh. Hi. You must be the new girl, right?" She looked at me, slightly confused. "So what's wrong? Are you alright?" She seemed like she actually cared, so I told her what had happened.

"You know what? The exact same thing happened to me on my first day. I had the same bag as her and she didn't like it. She shouted at me for it and threatened me. I didn't change my bag so the next day when I passed her in the corridor... she punched me. Somehow I was the one that got in trouble. She must have framed it so that I got the blame for whatever I supposedly did." She was staring at the ground, then her eyes snapped back to me. "So what's your name?" A smile had now appeared on her face, she was very pretty.

"Ellie. Yours?"

"My name's Daisy."
