Friends

Daisy showed me around the school and introduced me to my new teachers so that it wasn't as scary when it came around to going to my lessons. All of the teachers seemed really friendly and Daisy made sure that I could sit next to her in the lessons that we were in together.

My next lesson was PHSE. I sat next to Daisy and we had to come up with a short presentation about what we predict our life is going to be like in the future. We were given iPads to do research on. Daisy went straight onto YouTube and typed in 'Danisnotonfire'.

"This is one of my favourite YouTubers. Do you watch any YouTubers?" Daisy looked at me waiting for an answer. I didn't know what to say. I felt my face flush and I said "Erm. Well.. not really."

She looked at me if I was joking. "Not really? You must have seen some then?" Oh God.

"... I know of some YouTubers but I don't really watch them."

"Oh right. Well my favourites are..." She listed a massive list of YouTubers. It included my parents and Kalel and Anthony and just about every other YouTuber that's out there. I didn't tell her though. I didn't tell her about my life. She would just become another Sam.

Through out the rest of the day, Daisy told me about herself. She loves Dan and Phil, she listens to Muse, Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco, she watches Adventure Time and she spends most of her free time on the internet. She asked me a lot of questions but I made most of it up. I said that my parents are boring and that I live in a small house. I said that I was new to the town, which is true, and that me and my family lived further up north before we moved here. It was easier to make it up. At least then I would have a normal friend and not someone fangirling over my family.

When I got home, Marzia and Felix asked me about my day at school. I said that it was fine and that I made a new friend. I didn't tell them too much about what happened because they would worry, that's the last thing that I want them to do. For the rest of the day me and Marzia watched films and made dinner. We made omelette and a raspberry pie for desert. I enjoyed watching Felix eat it because he would pull a funny face every time he took a mouthful. We all laughed about it and then watched some movies together. Marzia chose a ghost film and I chose Twilight. I used to watch Twilight at the care home because it was the only film that hadn't been scratched by the other children.

When it was time for bed, I went to my room and put my PJs on. I brushed my teeth and climbed into bed. It took me a while to get comfortable because all that I could think of was school. I didn't want to go back. I ended up crying myself to sleep.
