"Drake" I was so overwhelmed that my voice came out as a whisper when he uncovered my mouth.
There was something unusual about him. He wasn't smirking. He was just looking at me with an expression that was hard to read. I noticed that he was looking at every feature in my face; then his gaze landed on my body. He lowered his head until his lips almost touched my ear.
"Nice dress..." he whispered in a husky tone. My breath was caught in my throat. Any coherent thought left my brain. "...nerd." That was the push that I needed to wake up from the trance he had me on. I took a deep breath and with the strength that I gathered I placed both my hands on his chest and pushed him. It was worthless because that didn't even move him when I did, but he did took a step back.
"Why are you stalking me?" I asked narrowing my eyes. "You know these stalker-ish tendencies do not suit you."
"Nerd please." He scoffed. "I was just curious, and I saw that your brothers left this store without you, so I came." He shrugged still holding me which was very weird, but the butterflies in my stomach did not mind at all.
"Curious about what?"
"Why you are so afraid that your brothers know about me?" His face turned serious.
"Um...Drake?"
"Yes?" Somehow he got closer to my face.
"Why haven't you let go of me?" I whispered, now more interested on his lips that were inches away. Stupid hormones.
"Why? Am I making you uncomfortable?" he asked in a husky tone tilting his head to the right and now he was sporting the infamous smirk.
I rolled my eyes and gave him a 'duh' expression. Right then, I heard a noise outside of the changing room I was in and turned paranoid mode on.
"Drake please, leave." I looked at him with a pleading expression. I still had my hands on his chest. I think I must have been imaging it, but I could've sworn that his eyes soften for a bit.
"I will," he responded whilst looking into my eyes. "After you tell me, why are you so afraid that your brothers know about me. Don't think I didn't notice your attitude at your house. You almost pissed your pants when you heard someone's voice but visibly relaxed when you saw it was your friend."
I bit the inside of my lip nervously. A few seconds on debating whether I should tell him or not, I decided to just do it. "It's not only you. It's any boy for that matter."
"Why?" He was really curious now. "You hang with that dude Mason and his friend."
I averted my gaze from him. "It's a long story." I couldn't tell him the reason why my brothers acted that way. I wasn't going to risk handing him that information. As painful as it was, he could use it to harm me publicly. I still believe that he could be bipolar. Besides nobody else, aside from my family, knew about it, not even Tori.
He stood there looking at me until a flash of comprehension graced his eyes.
"Come on Drake, I might tell you why...someday, but you have to get out," I pleaded one last time. If I wanted my brothers to at least tolerate him as a tutoring student, he cannot be in here by the time they return.
"Alright." He began to back away, letting me go at the same time.
"You're not going let this go, aren't you?" I sighed, hunching my shoulders feeling exhausted with this conversation already. Man, I'm a wimp.
"You know me so well already, nerd." He scanned my body up and down, winked. "I approve."
I rolled my eyes. "Yes, because I was dying for your approval."
