Drake's POV

"Come on man, cheer up! From what I heard you got good news today." Liam tried to cheer me up.

I took a glance at him but kept staring at the empty glass in my hands. "I guess." I shrugged and looked at him again for a moment. He frowned with clear confusion on every corner on his face.

"you guess? You're not happy that Emily's going to be okay?" He questioned while Josh rolled his eyes behind him.

"Let me stop you right there before you keep making an ass out of yourself. He's obviously happy about Emily's news today. He's obviously busting his balls about something else." He patted Liam's shoulders to try to get his point gently. "So, what crawled up your ass and died?"

Josh endearing words always have the power to crack my heart open.

"Josh, if you do want my foot to be the one to crawl up your ass, I suggest to shut the f*ck up." I hissed. I definitely was not on my game today. The text that the bitch sent to me was enough to spoil whatever happy thoughts I had.

He raised his hands in surrender and turned to take another drink.

"Man, does any of this might be caused by a certain redheaded bitch?" Daniel asked nailing it.

We were currently sitting on a bar at some kid's house, drinking while I waited. A lot of girls have come to us but when they saw that I ignored them they turned to flirt with the guys but they wouldn't budge either. They had this crazy idea that if I were left alone I would try something stupid.

I took out my phone and glanced at the time. The guys did not know about the encounter that they were about to witness. I invited them just to have witnesses in case everything went to hell. I didn't trust myself around the bitch; I might kill her if she just set her sights on the things that I cared the most. Sadly, she already did. That's why I warned Emily to leave me alone and tried to tell her not to be seen with me. Gina could be a heartless bitch when she wanted to be and right now she seemed pretty intent in capturing my attention through Emily. I was on edge; clearly, I couldn't be left alone with her.

Daniel sighed but continued, obviously noting from my expression that he got his guess right. "What did she say now?" Irritation was clearly on his eyes, none of us could stand her.

We have all ran paths with her at some point. The d*ck who runs one of the biggest gangs in the U.S. left most of his dirty works to his little sister. She's the one who always comes to us when he wants something.

And right now, that something is me. Apparently my winnings have called some very important people's attention. I've, of course, turned them down.

I didn't need any more money. In a couple of weeks, my brother's dept will be paid and I will no longer be fighting. So what I've looked forward is to two more fights and I'm done.

But of course, that doesn't sit well with the d*ck and his bitch of a sister.

"She wants me to fight two more guys that her brother has requested." I answer bitterly.

"In exchange of what?" He asked carefully, knowing for a fact that she has made it pretty clear that this time she wasn't going to be ignored.

"She's going to mess with Emily. She said if I didn't oblige my girl would suffer the consequences." I held tighter the glass in my hand with each word I uttered.

"f*cking bitch" He muttered before he drank his shot.

I placed my glass on the bar and turned around surveying the area. She hasn't arrived yet.
