Chapter 3 - Truth or Dare?

It was mid morning, and Ollie and Zosia were sat in the staff room when Dom walked in.

"Dom? What are you doing here?" Zosia asked.

"The wards empty and I'm on a break, so I came to see if you could save me from my boredom." Dom said dramatically.

"Well we've only got 20 minutes of break left but I guess that's enough time for a quick game of truth or dare." Zosia said "You in Ollie,"

"Yeah why not," Ollie sighed.

Dom sat down next to Zosia and said "Ok, you first Oliver. Truth or dare?"

"Truth" 

Dom and Zosia quickly whispered together, deciding a question before Dom said "What did you see in Zosia that made you attracted to her?"

Ollie smiled, looked at Zosia and said "I loved the way she was so dedicated to her work, and her sense of humour. And if would also be to do with the fact she kept kissing me without warning."

Zosia gave Ollie a death stare, before smiling sweetly at Dom, "Your turn Dom. Truth or Dare?" 

"Truth"

"Why are you here?" Ollie said, trying to hold back the laughter.

"I'm bored," Dom said. "Right, Zosia your turn. Truth or Dare?"

"Well since no one has done a dare, I will." Zosia said bravely.

A smile appeared on Dom's face and he said: "Okay, I dare you to take a pregnancy test."

"What! Why?" 

"That's the dare, like I said, I'm bored."

By this point Ollie burst out laughing, and Zosia gave him another death stare before saying "okay fine, I'll do it." She walked over to a cupboard and took one out.

"Dare I ask why there are pregnancy tests in the cupboard?" Dom asked.

"Emergency supplies." Zosia said, walking out the room.

Zosia sat in the bathroom waiting for the result "of course it's going to be negative, I'm not pregnant, it's not possible." She thought to herself. She shut her eyes, took a deep breath, opened her eyes, and looked at the stick. As she saw the result, a small smile appeared on her face, and she went back to the staff room, the test in her hand.

"Well Zodia, let's see this negative test then," Dom said, as Zosia sat back down next to Ollie.

She put the test on the table, and both Dom and Ollie gasped.

"It's positive," Ollie said.

Zosia smiled at him "That's right, we're having a baby!" She said excitedly.

"Oh my god!" Dom exclaimed "a mini Valentine/March! I can't wait to tell diggers and Sacha."

"No Dom you can't. You're the only person that knows about us, so we need to tell people about that before the baby." Zosia said. Jut then Dom's pager went, and he rushed out.

Ollie had still said nothing, he was just sat there smiling at Zosia. 

"Ollie, say something."

"This is amazing!"

"Wait, you mean, your not angry?"

"Why would I be angry? We're having a baby in..." He looked at the test "Six months time."

"What?" Zosia looked at the test, it said she was 3 months pregnant. "Wow Ollie that's really soon."

"I know, but you know Zosh, this means we are going to have to tell people soon, because otherwise they are going to work it out for themselves."

"I know. After we've told dad we can start telling people, okay."

"Okay." Ollie smiled, and put one arm around Zosia, pulling her in, then he put another arm on her stomach. "This is really getting serious now" he said.

Zosia leaned up and kissed him, then said "I love you"

"I love you too Zosh, and you too bump" 

Zosia stood up and smoothed her scrub top over her stomach. If you looked closely, you could see a bit of a bump, but to anyone else, it would look like she had put on weight.

Ollie stood up, and wrapped his arms around Zosia, pulling her in for a hug, when their pagers went. They sighed, and went back to work.
