Mo's POV
I knock on Zosia's door, and after a minute or so, it opens.
"Zosia?" I'm shocked to see her. She looks so tired, and her eyes look as if she has been crying.
"Mo? What are you doing here?" She asks.
"I heard about, you know, and I thought I'd come and check up on you. See how you're doing."
"Oh, well, I guess you'd better come in then." She says, showing me the way. "You'll have to excuse the mess, I haven't had time to tidy up, Penny's not very well." She apologises.
"It's okay," I say, "look, Zosia..." I'm interrupted by Penny, who is screaming at the top of her lungs.
"Sorry, I'd better," Zosia starts, gesturing at the door.
"Yeah sure, go." I say.
Zosia leaves the room, and I look around, taking in all the mess. There's bottles, empty boxes and dirty baby clothes everywhere; it's clear Zosia isn't coping very well. She comes back into the room holding Penny, who is still crying.
"I don't know what's wrong with her," she says, "all she does is cry, and cry, all day long. It's like nothing I do can make her better." She says, as tears start forming in her eyes. "I'm a useless mum, nothing I do works, nothing." She cries, tears spilling.
"Zosia, you're not a bad mum." I start, "you're an amazing mother to Penny, you're just doing through a tough time, that's all. And as for Penny, she's probably just got Colic, so there's not really much you can do." I say, trying to reassure her.
"Colic. Of course, why didn't I see that? If I was a good mum, I would've realised. See, I'm such a bad mother, I didn't even realise what was wrong!"
"No Zosia. Look at me. Zosia, look at me."
She sniffs, and turns to look at me. "What?"
"You are not a bad mum, okay? You're a brilliant mum, and there's nothing wrong with what you're doing. Sometimes we just need a bit of help, that's all. And there's nothing wrong with that, alright?"
She nods, and gives a weak smile. "Alright." She whispers.
"There we go, that's the Zosia I know." I smile. "Now, here's what we're going to to. You're going to go to bed for an hour or so, and I'll tidy up this mess. Then we'll talk about Ollie." I say.
"But, Penny..." She starts.
"Don't worry, I'll look after her. I'll take her to the shop and get some gripewater, that should help. You just get some rest."
"But, okay, if you're sure it's not too much." She sighs.
"Zosia, honestly it's fine. Penny can spend some time with her Aunty Mo, and you can get some rest. It's a win win situation. Now go, sleep." I say.
She hands Penny over to me, and gets up. "There's some bottles in the fridge, and nappies are in the cupboard, oh and baby grows,"
"Zosia. Stop fussing, just go." I laugh.
"Sorry, sorry. Thank you Mo." She smiles gratefully.
"Don't mention it." I sigh as she finally goes out the room. "Finally, I thought she'd never go." I say to Penny, "now, should we go get something to make you feel better, hmm?"
Seriously guys, does anyone actually like this anymore, because I'm not getting any comments, and barely any reads, which is really disappointing.
