Inevitable attraction

Anton's POV

Finally we arrived at the penthouse. She looks around the place without hiding her admiration of the place.
"Eli you can use that room. That's the guest room. Opposite is the study room. I will be up my room for a while. Feel at home." She nods.

I went directly to the bathroom to have a warm shower. Somehow it relaxes my stiff muscles. Sometimes I hate work but I promise my parents that I will take care of the business. I have to take care of it for Anita and Marco. I changed to my sweat pants. I can't be with my boxers only like I use to. Eli will definitely not approve it. I don't want to pick a fight with her again.

I went down to ask what she likes for dinner. We will just do usual take out. There's no time to cook. As I descend the stairs, I smell something delicious from the kitchen. I found Eli cooking. She changed to a white shirt and sweat pants showing her curves. Nice sight from her usual large size uniform.

"Hey what are you doing?"

"Making you a proper meal." She glance at me and smiled.
She remembered. The sensitive part of Eli. No matter how bad you treat her, she will try to understand and her concern will always prevail.

"You know what Anton you could have ask me to come here earlier to clean your penthouse." She's referring to the mess around the place and some unwashed dishes in the sink.

"Sorry my housekeeper is not around for two weeks now and I had been very busy. I was not able to clean some mess."

"I understand. You can call me to clean for you during my off days."

I got excited of the idea and doubted if she really want to. "You will come?"

"Yes, until your housekeeper comes. It's just temporary. I think I am getting used of doing replacement and temporary jobs." We both laugh.

Then she looks at me with hesitation, " and if you will behave and will not be a jerk, I can come." There goes my subtly frank Eli.

"You can sit and relax for a while. Dinner will be ready in 30 minutes." She offered and I sat in front of the counter watching her. She felt that my eyes are on her. She got conscious.

"Ummm.....maybe you can wait in the living room. I will pour juice for you."

"No thank you. I will go to the study room. I will start checking the papers Anita needs." I smiled and left her in peace.

I open my lap top and start my work. I smiled at the thought of Eli taking care of me. I know she's working for us but it's her nature to take care of people around her. She replaced Anne to help her maintain the job, she taught Marco's lessons, cook and bake for him. I feel that she caught his heart. I never heard him say I love you to Anne.

After half an hour I feel my eyes are getting heavy but a light knock on the door stopped me from drifting to sleep.

"Dinner is ready"

I found a plate of stake, mashed potato and salad on the table. She prepared only for me. "Where is your plate?"

"You eat and I will serve you."

"I thought you intend to make me a proper meal?" She look at me and raised her brow. " Proper meal is with company. I miss Anita and Marco." I miss you too I said silently. "Please join me."
