Eli's  POV

"Umm, Mr. Ford?" Anton talked with a stern voice to my supervisor after briefly looking at me.
"Clifford, Sir,......Mr. Clifford." My supervisor start to stammer. Anton is intentionally intimidating him.
"Mr. Clifford, I want the details of the bedroom more intimate." He looked at me and I can't hide my surprise. "I want to supervise the arrangement. Do you mind?"
"No not at all Mr. Montecarlos."
"So you plan to do it yourself."
"Eli will do it for you, Sir. She's assigned to this room. I have to supervise her."
"Okay, you can leave us now."
"Sir?" His eyes are wide with surprise.
"Shall I repeat myself?"
"No need , Sir. I understand............it's just that .......is there something you did not like?" He start to stutter.
He just shook his head and narrow his eyes on him. He's irritated. I know his patience is not long.
"Okay, Sir. Just call me if you need anything." Mr. Clifford left hesitantly and looked at me with warning before he closed the door.

I sense anger in the eyes of Anton. I don't know if with me or my supervisor. Perhaps both. He look at me standing in front of him.
I am nervous. My palms start to sweat and I can't stop  fidgeting.

"So, Eli, long time no see." He talks to me with formal tone. I just look at him with meek eyes. I'm speechless.

"So shall we start the details of the bedroom?" He walk past me and went straight to the bedroom. I silently followed him.

"Until when do you plan to run?" He spoke to me with his back facing me while checking the scented candles I laid on the floor.
"I am not running." I replied weakly.

"Hiding perhaps is the right word?"
"I am..........not hiding." I answered softly trying to control my emotions. Seeing him like this so distant hurt me much and thinking he is getting married made my heart more crashed. Tears in my eyes start to pool. I hurriedly wipe it before he notice.

He now face me with accusing eyes. "You are such a good liar, Eli."
I looked away. I know what exactly he is talking about.

"What did I do to you?" His voice is furious

"Nothing........" I clear my throat.

"Eli what happened between us is not a game." Now his eyes soften. I just look at him. He remembered what I told him. "Why did you left without saying goodbye........"
"You even shut us all out.......... even your friends.......Marco who dearly loves you!" His voice now is stern. He is trying to control his anger.

"I'm sorry," is all the words that came from my mouth. I can't explain that I started falling for him and I am scared of what might happen. I see no hope between us. None at all. I am not ready to see him so I have to sacrifice my relationship with Anne......with Anita......and Marco.

He sighed deeply and I look away trying to control the tears that threaten to fall from my eyes.  I try to compose myself and gather the strength left inside me. I must go now. There is nothing left to say. To hell with Mr. Clifford if he gets angry with me today. I just can't stand this anymore.

"I'm sorry again, Anton." I breath in deeply. "By the way congratulations."

Then I hurriedly turn my back and walk fast going to the door. The tears in my eyes start to pour. I don't care whom I will see outside. I just need to go far away from him fast.

Anton blocked my way going out before I knew it. He locked the door and pulled my hands.

"We need to talk."
