Eli's POV

I can't believe what I just did last night. I allowed Anton to sleep beside me. I am growing soft on him. I was not able to control myself when I want him to feel the movement of our babies.

I was very happy to let him feel the baby move. He deserves it. He did not deny that he is the father. Who am I to stop him from his rights. Who am I to deny my children of their father.

But I can't say yes to marriage. Marriage for convenience is already too much for me to give. I don't want that he'll be oblige to do so. Now that he showed interest in doing his responsibility as a father, I have to accept it but to marry and have a family by name only is not acceptable to me. We will just end up on divorce and it will not be good for the children. Better they will know early that their parents are not really together.

Besides, I already planned to raise them on my own. My family is willing to help me. Patrick will look for his job here so that mom can come with us in this city.

I already programmed my life without Anton. But if he wants to be the father so be it.......without forcing me in to marriage.

He even told me again that he loves me very much. Maybe just to convince me again.

I am not a fool. He is engaged to Ms. Bradford. He loves her not me. I don't want to mess with their relationship.

John came inside my office with a worried face.

What now? I can't handle another stress in my life.

"Eli, there is someone who would like to see you." John look at me with concern eyes.

I sigh and just nod.

I know John's concern about me. I know his expression means another trouble ahead.

"Hello Ms. Elizabeth Ferros."

I am surprise to see Daphne in my office. I guess she's mad and she's here to definitely give me a piece of her mind. Worst is to hurt me. I must explain to her that I am not here to ruin their relationship.

"Hi Ms. Daphne Bradford. Please have a sit." I try to act cool and be professional. "What can I do for you?"

"Can I please speak to you in private." She looked at John who is not willing to move from his place. He is concern of my safety.

"Thank you John," I nod at him

"Umm....Eli, I have to go to the site......there is a slight problem again. Will you be okay here?"

"I'll be fine John. Thank you very much."

He looked at me and motioned that I just call him anytime. He left slowly closing the door of my office.

"Well, Eli. Can I call you Eli?" Daphne sat in front of me without breaking her stare on my face and tummy.

"Yes, it's okay." I really did not anticipate that I  will see her this soon.

"I will get straight to the point why I came here. It's all about Anton."

She paused and sigh. "I know Anton offered to marry you."

"Yes, but......."

"Let me finish Eli." she cuts me off, "I know he was kind of lost now. I know he has done a lot........many  foolish, stupid things in the past. He's a man. I can't blame him. I knew his ways before I became his girlfriend.....before I accepted to be his fiancée." She emphasized the word fiancée.
