Two months later

Eli's POV

"Eli, extend your shift today." Mr. Clifford, my supervisor, commands. Yeah commands as he doesn't have a habit of requesting. He acts as if he owns the hotel. "Trish don't feel well. A lame excuse but I don't want to take risk. The matrimonial suite is booked for the week. Wedding reception will be held here. so I can't accept any mistakes."

"Ok, Sir." I answered happily. He can never destroy my mood. I hurriedly move fast to leave him. Once he starts nagging he'll never stop.

"Eli," he shouted and I look back, "I know it's your last week but don't be so eager to leave me. Do your work well. If you fucked up,  I will see to it that you will not get another job. I will see you there in an hour."

What a tormentor. He must always have the last say on everything. Fine. Whatever. Even if he don't remind me, I know the value of my work. I walk in the matrimonial suite. Lucky bride. It's a very huge room complete with living room and kitchen area. There's only a single room with a king size bed and a bathroom with a jacuzzi. Well, even if the area looks clean, I know my supervisor will still find a reason to say it is not enough. So I better clean it again and prepare the area.

Time flew fast and this is my last week in my work in this hotel. Finally, I was able to land a good job in another city. The lap top gift of my family helped me a lot. I know it was Elsa's idea. She has a degree on Computer Science and in her work she has means of buying used lap tops that are still in good condition. She packed my lap top with software for designing houses and buildings. It helped me a lot to train my computer skills which gave me an edge in applying even I lack experience. It has been my passion designing houses and buildings since I was young. I am hoping that my new job will be good. This will be my first stable job.......my dream job.  My family was so happy to hear the news and I am glad Elsa is engaged now. I promised her I will take care of Mom and Patrick. She promised she will also help occasionally. But I am glad that my job offer is somehow generous, good enough for my financial needs. Maybe I can save a little until Patrick finished his college.

I am almost finished. I just need to check some of the complementaries of the hotel. But the organizer informed me that the client asked for certain type of flowers the bride fancy. Tulips, roses and orchids. The groom himself bought flower arrangements  to be sure that the room will be completely surrounded by the bride's favorite flowers. I envy her. I envy how romantic is her groom. I gathered all the  scented candles and carefully lay them on the floor going to the room. I will spread the rose petals tomorrow so that it will be fresh. I am almost done putting the last pieces in the bedroom when I hear the door opened. Okay I have to prepare my ears again to my dear supervisor.

"Eli," he shouted, "are you done? Where are you? The flowers are already here." He seemed agitated. He's in panic mode again. I sigh.

"Almost." I replied from the room. "Just putting the few more candles here. I am coming."

I hurriedly went out. I don't want to be on his bad side specially that this is my last week here. Wow, the flower arrangement are so elegant. Pink and yellow tulips, red and pink roses and variety of pink and white orchids.

"Hurry, Eli," he commanded, " the 'big shot' groom is on his way up. He wants to see the room himself before tomorrow."

"Yeah, but I plan to put the petals tomorrow so that it will be fresh." I inform him before he will start asking me to scatter the petals in a quick swift which will definitely ruin the lay out.
