chapter 8 --

I saw Jake storm over to the car and lock it so we couldn't get in.

When you lock the car, It makes a loud beeping sound outside of the car so you know.

He knew that i had the keys so he couldn't even attempt to drive off in a huff. So he did the alternative, he walked off with his towel over his right shoulder and his sandals in his left hand.

The next day was sunday and Jake was still in a piss with me. Maybe if I told him that this is they way I thought that he would act if I id tell him and that's why I didn't ...

I decided just to talk to him and get all of the shouting and screaming out of the way. I heard the door open as Jake walked through the door with his earphones plugged in and his hood fimly up over his head. Walking over to him I was gonna make sure that he was gonna talk to me about this.

'Hey!' I shouted to make sure that he could hear me through his ear-phones.

He looked around warily and as soon as he saw that it was me he turned back round to walk up to his room. But before he stepped up onto the stairs I grabbed his hood and yanked him back towards me to get his attention.

'What! .. What is your problem?' He muttered back. He was so sure that he wasn't going to be  speaking to me.

'Whats my problem? Whats my problem??' I replied repeating myself twice. He look so confused like he didn't know what to say.

'Yeah, you pulled my hood and  pulled my ear phones out and so therefore you, my dear sweet sister have a problem. Oh, and I bet you slept with all my other friends in the process.' He said annoyed and frustrated. My anger was wayy to high right now and I was about to blow my top.

'I haven't slept with him and the only reason that I didn't tell you was because I knew that you would act like this and over react like you always do! I've only been recently seeing him, it's not even been going on for that long anyway. I wanted to tell you but we wanted to tell you together so we could see your reaction together!' I ranted on at him.

I sighed as I waited for him to reply with screaming at me until he turned and just left me at the bottom of the stairs speechless. I decided that I needed someone. Seth. I instantly rang him up to speak to him. I needed to know that he isn't freaking out so that I have at least a few stable people left in my life.

Oh and Lily hasn't been speaking with me either since she didn't feel like speaking to me at a time like this. So every time I call her now it goes straight to voice mail instead of it usual beeping noise.

'Hello? Seth?' I answered as I heard someone on the other side of the phone pick up.

'Jessie? what's up, have you talked to Jake or is he still ignoring you .. I mean us' He corrected himself at the end.

'Yeah, I need you to come over. Like now,' I replied with saddness in my voice.

I was suddenly alerted as I heard something in the background. It was a girl, giggling. Like those stereo-typical dumb-assed blondes who giggle like little school girls after they've heard a piece of juicy gossip.

'What's that? Is there a girl ther?' I angrily said as an reply to Seth.

'No .. ' he answered , followed by a loud,  'Shhhhh!'  after it. I decide to put the phone down as I could really not be bothered by that anymore.

So, I called the next person on my list of who to call if i'm feeling down at the moment. The list changed almost everyday so i either added or took people off of that list.

 'Hi' I said as the other line picked up. I smiled knowing that someone would pick up and if it was anyone then it would be him. The phone didn't even ring twice until he answered.

'Hey Jess, you ok?' He answered sounding concerned and worried. I tried to hold beck the tears that were approaching in my eyes. I couldn't keep them back any longer and just let them flow out .

'No, could you come over. Like now?' I asked sadly. He could tell that I was upset as he just knew, it was like he had an extra sense and that was called 'Jessie Sadness-icous' or something along the lines of that. I can't think of a name off of the top of my head, yet.

'Yeah, i'll be over in 10. Don't worry. Bye' He quickly said before hanging up and ending our conversation.

For the next 5 minutes I just sat in my room with my face buried deep into my pilow and letting it soaked up all of my tears the escaped out of my now puffy red eyes. I observed all of the noises going on around me too. With me window open I heard all of the cars passing on our street, all of the people walking the dogs on the pavement.

Jake had left the house too and I could hear his music blasting out of his head phones as he walked out too. Everything was silent and I was alone in the house with no-one else with me. Until I heard the door-bell go and I jumped up to check me face in my mirror.

The puffiness had gone down and all the red was gone. Now left there was make-up smudged all down my face. I quick picked up a facial wipe and cleared the excess make-up from the surface of my skin.

I ran down the stairs not caring that I only had on a pair of old denim shorts, my fluffy black and white bed socks and my warm white jumper. I opened the door and smiled widely.

'Alex, come in.' I said sweetly letting him entered  through the doorway. His smile matched mine as he pulled me into a big hug after I had shut the door.
